already told you guys after 10 years (will scrap the car) and get a 2nd hand vara125 again

ok wild_i, i need ur help.. too lazy man to browse the pages down... so many page.. hmm, heard about the phoenix bulb, but not sure whether long lasting not.. anyway does the amp(Ah) rating of the battery affects the life of the bulb and the current rating given out to the IU unit... cause mine seems to blow since i changed toa stupid shinko battery.. which read 12v/4Ah

 

maybe i should change to the original battery man..

Lilfarhan>> Hey man, I would not think a battery would have such an impact on your headlights. If anything your resistors would blow first before affecting your lights.

 

Well i used the Phoenix Tungsten bulbs but had no problems with it. Fitting the bulbs are also important as handling them wrongly will greatly reduce the life of the bulbs.

 

I can't remember the brand of the stock bulb but you can definitely ask Boon siew or FJT. That is your best bet.

 

Also best you go back to the original rated battery. This is important as it was designed for a purpose. Mah Motorparts at Dunlop street does carry the battery.

Lil Farhan, I suggest you go to a mechanic who is good at electronics. I can recommend you if you want. Changing bulbs and batt is not a solution until the source of the problem is found. 4AH Shinko batt is a tad too low in terms on Amperes/Hr. The batt should be overheating as it is over charging. Let me take a look at the batt I changed 3 months back and FR you the ratings. No problems so far. Only problem is the headlight high beam button...it is ****ing up and sticking..... meaning press already cannot go back from high beam to normal beam.

For spark plugs, I use NGK CR8EH-9. so far no problem.
