Have to make it quick. Slots are filled super fast. Good luck and hope to see u there

I called up this morning, slots are still available. Even the 6 Feb slots are not filled yet. Must go there personally to book, no online booking. If I can book cinema ticket, airline ticket, IPPT date, how come SSDC still cannot make "Defensive Riding" course booking available online huh ?

is that a passing criteria ? The course sounds tough, maybe I should think twice

We no need to destroy theirs crash bar to pass just that we can crash bike without any worries. YEAH lets destroy their bikes.

The only benefit is that we learn what to do if we skid or fall. And if u want to ride to Camp, u will need to have defensive training if not u will have to park outside the camp.

I have signed up for the Defensive Riding Course on the 14 Feb. Mine starts at 0845, hope you guys are on the same time slot.

Only Toobez's name is familiar to me.

There is only a single slot left after me. Hope Al-simmon manages to sign up for the same time slot.

Yo wai,

i'm using H4 halogen bulbs. I think, wady is using H4 halogen phoniex bulbs.

HID is not legal for road use. So think twice...

In my opinion, h4 Halogen is good enough for use. High beam it along NS highway and everything's clear.

Regards.

Confirm H4 can put in without widening the reflectors and bulb holes? I looked before and the size don't look like H4?

yes. it’s a good experience… charity ride? will see how it goes the next few weeks.. am looking at Kota Tinggi and Segamat areas .some roads still impassable... tentatively mark out this date, Saturday 16th June to Friday, 22nd June 2007 , 7D/6N coast to coast tour. the MBC guys are planning a tour to Thailand, Hatyai – Krabi- Koh Lanta in May… probably quite busy then. nevertheless, will liase with them.

On the matter of HID. If it's retro-fitted, you are simply replacing your stock bulb with the HID bulb + Ballast. It will be brighter, but the ability to shine ahead is about the same because that is dictated by your reflector. Because it's brighter, chances of glare are high which will be irritating to other road user.

About H4. I'm not sure what's stock, but converting to a bulb of higher wattage would definitely give you problem in the long run. Redwolf's headlight is definitely very bright to the point it's irritating to the vehicle ahead.

My opinion about HID on vara125. Although it's technically illegal to install, I would like one. Vara125 has twin headlamp, so change only one side to HID. You can install a switch to toggle between stock and HID or have both on. In S'pore road, just use the stock light, once in Malaysia, use HID. Neat setup. Please aim the HID nicely to minimise glare.

My humble opinions:

Turning on the highbeam along the NSH should be done only when there's little traffic on the oncoming side and the vehicle in front of you is quite a distance away.

Turning on the highbeam all the way will most prob subject you to those humongous spotlight beams from the local trucks and SUVs on the opposite traffic which may temporary blind you for a couple of seconds.

But to each his own...

WAI >>> if u want to install HID, look for this guy by the nick of limbat or paiseh....should cost u around $200+ for one side..advisable to just do one side and keep the other side stock...

Redwolf >>> are u sure u using H4 or M4? most of us using M4...
