Hi guy, this is my first field report after collected my VARA 07.

 

Straight away when to pump petrol (13.8L) after collected my bike. Present mileage 505km, average travelling speed 70km/h to 80km/h. Reserve light not active yet. :cheeky:

 

Going for my first service tomorrow. Bike so far so good, no problem discovered.

History: Phantom, Atlantic 200, Phantom, Vara125 FI, TranAIP 400, Super4 (version s), Fazer6 S2, Advia 200, Silverwing 400 JDM 04, Silverwing 400 Euro 08, MaxSYM 400i, VFR1200FD DCT, NC700X, BMW C650GT, Fazer6 S1, BMW R1200GS LC, Majesty S XC155, BMW R1200RT(LC)

Toobez/Vince> it seems like i can only follow the betong trip.. if they all travelling during the weekends.. The coast to coast got to scrap because of induction programme... bas***d take away my freakin holiday... and they have a social visit to ite east and sembawang air base.. c***..

 

Anyway how come my name is reflected twice in the meet up for friday... Wait do roll call.. got one missing.. HAHHAHA

I would b ridin mostly in MY as my wife house is there so need yellow fog if raining ma haha....

 

HID is illegal..

 

but since our vara has 2 headlights u can keep one stock and just use the HID as and when needed..

 

reasons i chose HID over foglamps..

 

1. no need to mount anywhere

2. don't have to worry about knocking them off

3. can't get stolen that easy

4. no need to put on and take off the covers

5. draws less power then even the stock bulb after it 'warms up'

 

things i don't really like about it..

1. takes about 30secs to 'warm up'

2. price ~ $250 (then again 2 fog lights might be the same price)

3. think thats about it..

 

yes you need relays but the HID kit will include them..

Mark - Any info about the coast to coast ride in June. Im thinking of joining but need to know more details before applying for leave...

 

Mus blame Hus for introducin Long Way Round.... Ewan and Charlie were fantastic haha .... I was jus talkin 2 Rudinko e other day abt campin outdoors with all e snakes, spiders and scorpions.... n there they were talkin abt it in e documentary....

Hi reserve at 520km. Petrol consumption 37.8km/L. :giddy:

I switch from X9. Not that good in control the bike, and plus pannier is worse.

Selling around $750neg.

 

Those want buy, we dismantle and fix together. Its easy to fix.

Motorworld's model came last month. See it like not very suitable. Thinking of getting back the side panniers. Why got a problem?
