Route Plan

 

making a big loop n stages, the routes will take us from GP to the east coast of Johor and back. plenty of break stop in between. fatigue is normal but will at best keep it minimal. if you don’t mind the distance and longing for a challenging ride, do sign up now.

- Johor Lama ( Old capital of Johor )

- Ostrich farm, fruit farm ,crocodile farm along Teluk Ramunia, Kg Sungai Rengit etc.

- Free & easy lunch / dinner arrangement.

Stage 1: GP- Kota Tinggi – Johor Lama

Stage 2: Johor Lama – Tanjong Pengelih

Stage 3: Tanjong Pengelih – Sedili –Mersing

Stage 4: Mersing – Felda Nitar –Kahang- Simpang Renggam – Gelang Patah

 

 

For Your Info

 

If possible to complete all the above stages by 1630hrs. else we may have to cut short the ride and head back to the NSH bypassing the remaining ones if the time set exceed. Trunk roads are always fun to ride.Its also littered with road kill ( ie potholes, stray roaming animals, carcasses, oil spill etc). So, best to steer clear of them before night fall.

 

 

 

Pre Ride Checklist

 

- Maintenance : serviced and ready for tour.

- Personal : valid passport, driving license, road tax, insurance, sufficient cash card value & currency in RM

- Contingency : ICE #1 ( In Case of Emergency contact_ next of kin ) stored into your moblile, extra cash stash separately.

- Riding gears : wear appropriately for the ride.

Just Out-pro frm my reservist last friday,went home with the bike with all that combat load and the chain rattles like crazy. was adviced many times to change cuz the condition was reali bad.but am not too sure about the combination though.anyways.thks!!ToonZ

 

no worries man.. anytime! and why on earth did you call me at 2.30am?!?!?! usually your chain rattles if it's loose lar.. adding load to the ride makes it so! i remember riding to reservist with my vara and full load also! like damn kilat man! 14 front and 44 rear is stock.. you can try a 41 rear for smooth ride and higher topend.. pickup is a bit slower though.. but i did enjoy it!

well.. i bought my vara125 at the price it was cuz it is a superb bike.. you get made in europe parts.. a v-twin engine.. showa suspension with heaps of travel length.. huge frame.. comfort for you and pillion(all my friends that rode pillion says is is the most comfortable ever for them! and thats compared to a super4 too!(no offense to anyone hor!) and i was pillioned twice on a vara125 and loved it!..) you get road presence.. off road capability.. excellent seating posture.. you can add 3 boxes and a tank bag and it still looks cool.. you get a windscreen that suits the bike.. fairings.. twin headlights.. aluminum and weighted handlebar.. smooth highway cruising.. and loads more.. you are really comparing apples and oranges here.. sure the super 4 is a best selling 400cc bike but (no offense to anyone) you get a lot more capability and bang for your buck as opposed to a super4.. i am sure the super 4 is a great bike in it's own right too.. therefore price does not equal only cc..

 

and for me there wasn't really a mindset to overcome.. people can say what they want but truly only those that have owned a vara125 will understand it.. do i regret selling mine? bloody hell yes! and if i had had a choice back then i wouldn't have!

 

You have to appreciate and love the bike first. After that, nothing else matters....

Thats without a shadow of a doubt. The Vara is the most reliable bike I have owned till date. With Aprilia being the lowest. Toobes and Klutch..hint hint!

 

Even when I have to travel, she has never fail to start. Plus, she never threw tantrums even when the Master decides to "screw" her around.
