gentlemen... need your help here...

 

currently my old vara is facing some serious electrical problems.

 

front headlamp is always blowing here and there. change to new headlamp bulbs always the same - within 3 mths blown again, even though i'm using the normal one. then now i electric start bike also cannot, need to push start somemore...

 

all in a brief, i believe my bike got some serious electrical problems.

 

can anyone recommend me a GOOD bike shop that is familiar with vara125 electrical system, and hopefully can also help me to check my bike's other electrical issue?

Bro checked whether your fuse blown or not.And checked whether your horn had any relay fitted with it.Hope this help in your troubleshooting.

dunlop street's mah motor? is that the small shop that's just a stone's throw away from Sim Lim Square? i'd been there before to fix my rear brake light issue, upon recommendation by nineh (nash).

Saw a fellow Vara125-er along Tampines there. Sorry, if I seemed rude to go off without saying bye or what. Quite in a rush to send my friend back. Was a black Vara with Ermax and Acerbis Multiplo handguards. Wonder if he goes to this forum?

 

Also guys, having a bit of problem. I'm on the AT Handlebar, Ermax windshield and Acerbis Multiplo but I have trouble handle locking. Like the handlebar is really in the way, against the windshield. Do the handguards have to go? Or is something out of place?

 

Hope you guys can help.

 

Btw, any meet up on Sunday? Local one ah, meet and drink teh or what. I really want to meet you guys but always last minute got stuff. Apologies.

Maybe you can try pulling your handlebar away from the windshield. But do check whether your brake hose and wiring is long enough to be pulled.

I have encountered this similar problem too with my previous bike. Well i went to Ah beng to do rewiring and changed to a original vespa bulb and problem is solved. Ah beng should know the problem. Price for rewiring done by him is $80.

 

Anyway, if it happens that any of the bike shop ask you to change your electrical starter do not waste the money to change it. Normally our electrical starter will not have a major problem. So, ask the mechanic to check the fuse first. Normally our fuse will blow and thus unable to start the bike.

Sound like you gotten my bike sickness...

 

Anyway, if you r more tech incline, please check thru all the simple wiring yrself first. By sending yr bike into the bike shop will not help you to gain any knowledge and will most likely to cost a hole in yr pocket.. althought it will solve yr problem..
