Hi all

Just wanted to announce that I'm putting up my 9mth old black FZ16 FOR SALE due to too little usage (done less than 1000 km), even though it's the BEST in my humble opinion. I'm 1st owner. Registered end Jan 2011. All stock, no mods or drilling/cutting. No accidents. Kept in sheltered lot under dust cover. Washed and groomed regularly even though hardly used. Just run in and had 1st servicing with yamalube. 2nd servicing will be free from bike shop. Run-in done v carefully (50--70 km/h). Ad put up in Singapore Bikes Buy-Sell section - please send all queries there. Thanks !

Ok..thanks.. U saved my money and my CDI.. So anything tat needs to connect to the bike battery and CDI is not advisable am i rite? Or connecting to battery is ok as long as nt connected to CDI?

U can fix the alarm as long u dun connect and use the remote start function

But i tell i used to fix that on my phantom 200 nothing happen haha.. But in long run i dunno la

If u dun intend to keep long den do it :p den u can show off starting e bike b4 u even reach ur bike haha

And 1 more thing unless u everyday ride ur bike if not i suggest u dun fix e alarm as it will drain a little bit of battery all e time and if u dun ride means ur battery dun charge

Sprocket change to make ur fz16 slightly faster. Am new to the fz16. The 1st thing I did was to change the front sprocket to 15 teeth. The original was 14 front, 40 rear. On the original- the per 1k rpm on 5th gear was 13.75km. (4k rpm = 55kmh) With the front on 15 teeth, the per 1k rpm was estimated 15km. (4k rpm = 60kmh). This helps a lot as I'm doing run in! It's a very fun bike. Agile and very very easy to when there in jams. The stock configuration handlebar seems to be too pointed upwards though, it sets the wrist on a awkward angle. Pointing the handlebar downwards with 1 to 2 inch raisers will solve this 1.

Don't worry, front disc braking has a buzzing sound. Its normal.

Rear tik tik.... check ur bearings, do check ur rear wheel alignment too, and most likely chain slack.

So changing front to 15 teeth increase top end? Increase in top but reduce in pick up? That's so I might wanna get a change too. :) Our bike looks ez to rev.

Yup. It does. The front 15 teeth sprocket was like $6.50............. No harm trying. Low cost. I guess if u keep the original, Can change back to original anytime.
