Hello there, I bought mine about 2 months ago. Recently there's whistling sound coming from the front and suspect it coming from the front disc brake. The whistling sound only appeared during acceleration between 20-30km. the sound reduce when you hit 70-80km. I went to my bike shop to feedback about it, he said "oh, a lot of people is complaining about the matter, I can only service you brake pad". The WHISTLING sound still remain. If you are experiencing the same, may i know what is course of action to solve this issue.

fyi,new disc brake it wil give out sound, as brake pad is not smooth, it has rough surface...so it does make noise if its a new brake pad...for eo during running in, its reccomended to use 20w40 or 20w50...which u can get from hongleong...do tke note not to use fully synthethic eo for run in....

Hi guys. I realized it was the front speed sensor. U might want to try removing it and putting some grease on it as there is none

 

On a side note, wld anyone want the original oil filters? I might b able to get some ard $3. Will update once I receive them

Best is try ask a few bike shop.. see wat the price difference, loan interests, convenient or not.

Has anyone changed the bulbs for the fz16 st yet? I can't seem to find a replacement yet for the model. It is an osram Bilux hs1u

 

Ppl keep giving me the h4 bulb but based on the fittings n markings and wattage, it won't fit

New small cc bike are using HS1 bulb.

Coz HS1 n H4 are pretty similiar. Watt rating are diff of coz.

 

Clever choice, bro.. u didnt buy the H4 bulb. Shops, onli care their business n not ur bike.. Just stick to HS1 bulb

i got mine from HKL Bukit Merah... Juz got them actually... 1 day of waiting only, and they are very friendly. Got 6x eo change too.

Hi, Meng motor is an honest shop. No hidden costs at all and i got my bike there too. Maybe u can juz check with few other bike shops & make a comparison b4 u take the plunge. I also did some comparisons back then and end up still got from Meng motor.

 

Or u can try universal at bukit merah..No hidden cost and No penalty for early settlement if u are paying by installment la... Box and rack i got from them for $115..

 

i buying from global motor @ ubi ave 1

i know they sale guy in charge there so he give me quite good price (and free box)

i went there e other time talk to the normal sale guy is offer 4.2k say still can talk abit la

 

and the other place that is cheap was @ old southern @ bukit merah lane

dun go wrong 1, there is new and old southern.. old southern is the smaller shop, he 1st qoute to me was 4k machine price

so everything otr he count was 7.9k with insurance of 650

i didn't sit down and talk to he so this is rough gauge

 

anyway i will be getting from global motor @ ubi ave 1 tml.

hope he can settle by sat so sat can collect bike. haha

LOL, tat true. thanks lionel and SchiZoid . 1 got 1 more qns is regarding to the bike itself. i comparing ST n FZ16. from the post i know ST and 16 diff is the seat and the cow head. But when i check with some bike shop, they only say is the cow head diff seat is the same. which one is true?

and 1 more thing is the spec i compare in yamha hlcorp website. both version also diff . the rear suspension 1 is swing arm 1 is monocross. the front brake 1 put hydraulic disc 1 jus put disc. is it any diff in both version? which 1 is better? As now i visit those bike shop they only got ST with them no FZ16. thus cant compare on site.
