I just bought my FZ16 Blue from De Xin Motor for

 

Bike cost: $6991 (bike cost was quoted with COE $1621 but I had to top up $91 as yesterday's COE went up to $1721)

Additional half year road tax: $32

2nd Party Insurance: $377 (I'm 35 years old)

Box: $120

Rack: $85

Total: $7605

 

Freebies: 3 mineral oil change, 1 full face helmet

 

You guys think it's worth?

Only the previous model have the custom rack, kucay rack.

Btw for the front number plate, how is it supposed to be fixed?

Mine the shop just use double sided tape and it came off just now.

No worries.. my also use double side tape...

 

Go to hardware/DIY store get those industrial strenght double side tape. N paste it urself..

 

If not u can go ur bike shop, ask them spare u a bit.. hee

I sure can be done.. Most bike shop can do the installing. Best price is from Lim Ah Boy.. lol

in according to the bike manual..

 

During run-in/break-in

0-500km not more than 4500rpm, vary the speed time to time.

501-1000km not more than 6000rpm .

1000km on... u are free to do anything

 

There is a table Pg 32, chapter 6 periodic, showing u what to replace/check at which mileage... 1000, 3000, 6000 9000km n so on...

I am a noob, collecting my first bike, a new FZ16 soon. Other than cosmetics, just wondering what I should look out for during collection day? Is there any way to check the VIN/serial on the bike to make sure I am not being sold a 2nd hand/ pre-owned machine? How do I read the serial on the FZ16? Any other tips please do share. Thank you!
