but what to do...suck thumb lohz...

i guess this is happening in every bases ba...

 

And now with many ppl coming in with the intention of leaving in 10yrs time, lots are actually self studying. This results in fewer ppl wanting to go overseas. As usual, the same ppl who seems set to stay are going and going on Detachments.

 

Let they pack their own spares.....my side used to be that way, and of course, we double up on their work because they need a week or so to prep spares. I dun mind.

bike have to be overhauled... first inspection suspect is front gear shaft(?) broke. pending further checks but overhaul is for sure.. =(

 

haiz.. just when i am about to change bike too.. sian..

How you found out? When it happened?

 

I'm not too sure how to describe. Basically the bike kind of stuttered on some of the gears and it got worse as I continued riding on the expressway.

 

Decided to ride it straight down to ah koon and leave it there for him to examine. Lucky I made tt decision, seems like after that the bike seized quite violently and made a lot of noise even on gear 1.

 

Oh well.. just waiting for the bill to come :cry: so sad, think past two mths spent more on the bike than what I can get for it even if I sell it now o_O

It is a good day to slp.. :dozed:

latest update from mech.. 5th and 6th gear gone, need to replace. Replacing piston also.. these are only upon initial inspection. He will inform me if anything else needs to change.

 

Current estimated damage: 400+ to 500

That's pretty expensive, but at the same time, check your con rod, and clutch set as well....simce it's all opened up, might as well.

 

You are right that you should carry on riding after you overhaul it, and comparing with a Duc, come on, cheap lah. Full servicing already in the range of $600+ for a Duc.

 

Anyways, when was the last overhaul? If this is the first, I feel it's really worth it after riding so many yrs.
