Cash Card Stuck in IU - Bizarre Problem

Hi all,

 

You know usually when you insert cash card into IU device, something inside will 'tahan' the card and then a little bit will stick out? Yesterday when I was sticking the card in, somehow it didn't kena tahan, and the whole card just went inside! And sort of 'fell inside' / vanished!

 

Any idea how I can get it out (IU cannot dismantle right)? Or who I can go to?

IU repair is free as I've brought my car with faulty IU to Vicom before. They'll change a new one for you if it cannot be minor repair on the spot.

this is reallly a very bizarre incident. try gg to vicom i believe they will chage for you if the warranty is valid.

Same thing happened to me also. Till today the card still inside. I have no idea how it happened!

 

I went VICOM but they said my warranty over, they won't open for me. I asked if I can borrow their tool, they say they don't have. Think they smoking me la.

 

You need special tool to open up the thing, the screw is a wing shape screw to prevent tempering. Can buy the bit overseas. I heard Auntie shop at Jln Besar can do ah? Not too sure...

Hi Phang, you're right, it's tri-wing. But from what I understand, even tri-wing has several variations, and the one used on the ERP unit will dissect an equilateral triangle equally if u can figure what I mean. The cross section looks a little different from the one above.

 

Speaking of candy store, itchy for a visit already...hehe

Sorry Phang, may I know which page on the catalog is the tri-wing screwdriver? I wanna look up the one I have, see if they have the pattern that matches the ERP. Thanks.
