simple solution, just use lighter fluid. those kind for zippo. confirm come out almost immediately

You have to heat it up first to soften the old glue. Use a hairdryer or a heat gun, then it'll come off much easier. Like the previous poster said, there's a specialist product made for this called "Goo Off" (not Goof off, that's like sleeping on the job) that's supposed to work very well. You can clean any remnants of the old glue off with normal car wax.

 

You might not want to get petroleum-based products on painted surfaces because it will damage the clear-coat. If you want a solvent, get denatured alcohol (called "huay jiu" or "spirit" in local hardware shops) and use that instead.

last time ever bot the goof off, they got 2 variety, one inside plastic container, not so strong, the other inside metal container, strong n effective. however the metal container type is hard to find now.

 

i'm now using another by 3m, it's equally effective as the metal container goof off.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?
