Hey guys,

If let's say I do not own a bike yet, but I wanna call up NTUC to check my insurance premium, can they check for me the premium?

I roughly know what bike I'm gonna get but it's just I've not gotten it yet.

Or better yet, if you guys have a rough guide of how much NTUC insurance premium cost for an 18 yr old male, P-plate, intend to get kup, I'd much appreciate it! :)

if u got the bike plate number, u can just check for the exact quotation by calling the insurance companies. there are a few insurance companies.

but if you don't know the plate number, you only know the bike model, then u go ask around how much it will cost.

i can give you a rough estimation based on my own insurance. i am riding a kup too, its yamaha spark. FBA plate. my insurance is around $1073. third party. as for age, its almost the same. 18 or 19 years old i forgot. its either one.

if you don't have the plate number, yet you still die die want the most accurate quotation, you go around the car park, look at those kup kia of your choices, you go copy their plate number and use it to ask for quotation, you will get an idea.

Thanks for the advice! I'll prolly go to my carpark and grab someone's plate number... hehe!

BTW I assume the older the number plate is, most likely the bike is older (with exception of people whom retain old plates)?

yea generally it is. and like what you said there are exceptions.

at the same time you can go grab the number plate of other bikes model to get an idea of what your insurance will be if you take other bike.

but be aware it is not 100% accurate :bounce:

anyway if u got the plate number u can go lta website or what to check the details of the vehicle, like age, date of registration, model and COE.

checking of premium dont need plate num.

just call up the various agent, either tell them it's a 2b normal bike (sports bike need additional premium), or give them the brand n model of the bike, they will give u an accurate quote.

another method is to go bike shop, look 4 a similar model of bike u're intending to buy, tell them ur interest n ask for a break down quote.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

plate num can't judge the age of a bike, they can transfer plate or retain like u said

no offence, i believe u have no idea the accuracy of ur advice...

pulling out the details of a vehicle need some form of ID of the owner.

No doubt age of the bike cant be judge from the plate, but plate number can tell the age of the bike.

Of cos, no sensitive information like owner's name, address....etc...
