can anyone tell me wad size is the speedo lights for spec 1?

 

for the fuel gauge issit 2 t5? for the speedo n tacho issit 2 t10?

hei bro....i recently bought a spec1...i found that there is a tick tick sound coming frm the valve which is they call it in mandarin (valve chio or bar chio)is it serious?or need to do valve clearance?i ask mechanic they said it is nothing but i feel not comfortable when i hear the sound but the sound gone when the engine heat up...how much does it cost if i service the valve n which motortiam can provide good service for this problem...need ur advice thanks bro

1.5k? mine was around tat price if im not wrong. comes with all the gaskets and clutch plates. the whole engine will be brought down.

my super4 also have tick tick sound when it moves off or idling initially. haha dono why, maybe just normal for super4 to have this sound? a characteristic?

Hi all, have a few qus to ask. Hope to have some help.

 

1. What is the size of original spec 3 pilot & main jet?

2. will the changing gear real loud from 5th to 6th?

3. is there a temp gauge for the original meter for spec 3?

bros help .. after washing my bike tis afternoon .. brakes like retarded , when coming to complete stop got Squealing sound .. wad happen ??

Have a query regarding brake lines. Read the Hel brake lines threads and concluded it offers more "feel" and "bite" to the braking, etc, more responsive etc. My query is whether Hel brake lines does offer more stopping power as compared to stock brake lines. If two riders, one without and one with Hel brake lines or other steel braided brake line, both brake at the same time, will the one with stock brake lines stop less effectively then the one with modded brake lines? Assuming they both using the same brake pads, brake disc condition and road surface and reaction time.

 

Lastly, my vtech 1 is 7 years old, is it necessary to change the lines? I'm pretty satisfied with them and dun feel in need of more stopping power. Surely, there are version S around which are more than 10 years old and have never changed brake lines right? Or is 7 years old bike about time for a change of brake lines?

 

Riders who tried both brake lines care to comment?

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

brake hose (line) is not necessary to replace as if you can not find any damage. You can check below step:

1/ Check the leakage of all adapters

2/ Check the quality of material of hose. No cracks, no hard, flexible

If it is good condition, still keep it for using. Genuine part is always better than other

Hi I just got a second hand spec 3 for about a month, need to check with you guys, when do I change EO and spark plug? Is there any other things to change or service?

oil filter? check air filter. since u just get do standard checks for all wear n tear parts lo. shld not give u much problems

just wan to check, at what speed or rpm do u change gear har?

i change at 4000rpm, but my friend say too early liao, 5000-6000rpm better.

and then har, i 60km/h change to 6th gear, but my friend say 100km/h then change to 6th gear wor...

Changing gears at 4krpm is ok and it is the norm for majority of S4 riders. You are able to get slightly better mileage as compare to changing gears at 5-6krpm.

Light clicking sound is normal when engine is cold but it must disappear when hot...Its just that your valve clearence is tiny weeny bit off..

 

When the sound become more obvious even after riding for more than 10 mins then its time to do clearance.The effect is your intake valve will open up late and exhaust valve will close too early. Worst case the clearance is sooo off that it causes your piston to hit one of the valve causing the valve stem to bend(Very2 chialat).

 

How the mech. adjust the clearance(S4 engines),i'm not sure if he use spacers or just adjusting the tappet using slot screwdriver and locknut. If anyone here have pics of their cylinder head cover removed,dunt mind posting the pic here?..

SP4 newbie in the house!! He he.. Anyway just a check, what's the recommended idling(timing) for a SpecIII with a Yoshi pipe? Mine is running at below 1 when cold and 1 once it sufficiently warmed up. I just got this bike like only 2 days ago which is pre-installed with Yohsi end can.

in sg, sound fast look fast is enough. run fast fine fast die fast.
