Hi fellow bikers, just like to have a quick nomination on the various different cruisers, which in your opinion, offer better handling. The reason why I'm asking for this feedback is that, whilst I've ridden various cruisers myself, I've always found that the handling lacking, particularly whereas cornering is concerned. The rides which I've taken before, were Customer 1991 CBX125(back in class 2B days); Magna 750 and EN400 (long time ago, the belt driven model). Perhaps its just me, but whilst I had the Magna750, I also had a 1969 CB750F2, whilst riding both of them back to back, I found the Magna to be cumbersome in trafficl and the drum brakes in the rear was surely no desirable. I have since moved on to other bikes, but I've recently been keen on getting my hands on a cruiser once more; however, the thing holding me back is the lack of handling of these bikes. Strangely enough, I've fond memories of my CBX125 all those years ago; in fact, I used to be able to dart around with that bike, despite the heavy traffic. I suppose its the weight of the bike, but I remember being able to take more aggressive corners that say my Magna. Please enlighten me, if you u feel that there are decent handling cruisers out there. Of course I do not expect it to handle like a sports bike or naked sports machine, but at least, it wouldn't be bouncing my rear wheel off the ground when it digs deep intot he road with a foot peg.

Thanks, and ride safe.

p/s watch the speed traps, I've noticed an increase in 'em recently, particularly on the highways.

Well, cruiser bikes are not very well known for their cornering skills and high maneuverability. They are basically more for just cruising and taking things a little slower pace. Maybe the reason you were bouncing off your seats in corners, is your rear shocks? All you need is an upgrade and things may be better. Anyways, stock shocks are designed for the masses so some may find it just nice and some, like me, will find most stock shocks too "soft".

hi William, thank you for your reply. In my case, it wasnt about the rear shocks. Its just that the clearance of these cruisers were generally limited. I always end up scraping the footpegs, and in more severe cases, the rear wheel is almost skipping when taking a corner too aggressively, in the process, scaring the hell out of me. So I'm curious if there are other cruisers out there that have a better clearance/handling. I hear that the HD Sportsters are decent, but I'm not keen on HDs yet, instead, looking at the Japanese mfrs for choice.
