Newbie Rider into Malaysia

I checked the forum. But I cannot find a thread which gives the exact instructions for entering malaysia

 

In particular, do we have to pay toll for exiting Singapore and entering Malaysia? If so, what are the charges?

if you are going via causeway, it is free.

if you are going via tuas, you got to pay the tolls in singapore $0.50 and malaysia RM1.10

I presume you dun have the toll card?

Scan and go type for motorcycles.

i tot tuas now all touch n go, dun know if still can pay cash. u can purchase the card @ the toll booth, iirc $20, $10 value.

 

btw, SG toll use cash card.

I am going via the causeway. So there wont be any charges both exiting Singapore and entering malaysia?

I thinking of going there and get their petrol and cigars.........

It's the touch n go card.

You have to purchase this card beforehand, before you can enter Malaysia via the Tuas - Second Link (Linke dua).

If via Woodlands you do not need to pay anything on the SG and MY side.

 

The plastic card itself is RM10 (equivalent to $4), you have to thereafter topup some money into the card to pay tolls

Why dont you join up with any of the groups of bikers that goes to Malaysia regularly? It's much safer to move or ride in groups, especially since you are new to this.

they still accept cash? iirc last time, my friend went past there n was told to purchase the card.
