Beware of a KR FT7171

Riding on CTE southbound transferring to PIE(Changi) this Green KR FT7171 suddenly cut out from the right in to me. He cause me to crash into him. We stopped.

 

That douchebag didnt have side mirror and he still cut out...

 

Check of injuries and damages.

Me : scraped shin and 2 of my toes on right leg face the nail coming off.

My bike : nothing.

 

KR : nothing

KR bike : broken side blinker

 

Me : How you wanted to settle this?

KR : No cash at hand. Give me your number. I will transfer you money to cover your medical fee.

Me : I don't have my phone with me, I forgot to bring out my phone.

KR : Key in your number and miss call yourself to get my number.

Me : (I missed called myself without checking for dial tone)

We headed off.

 

Reached home, checked my phone "no missed call". That douchebag's phone is a fluke.

 

Now suffering from scraped shin, 2 of my toes on right leg face the nail coming off and no way of finding that guy...

1) go make accident report with your insurance company

2) on reporting statement, state option with "claim 3rd party and report incident"

3) go bike shop, bike shop will take over claim procedures. (get a reliable workshop)

 

if mc >= 3 days, police report required. if MC = 1 day or 2 day, police will not entertain

Good tip.

 

For additional "insurance" get one of those old obsolete smartphones. Some of them have huge batteries and can do video recording up to 5 hours. Cable tie somewhere and forget about it. Video evidence can help a lot with insurance/TP dealings by preventing the other party from making up cock and bull stories.
