Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a decent riding cum work/dress pants? Basically one that can wear with shirt to work and does not look 'out of place'.

Place and location that sells it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

riding pants are usually thicker, made of synthetic material, comes with some padding, and are usually bulky and hot to wear when not riding. very different from dress pants which are usually much much thinner, made of either wool, or some blend of polyester & cotton, and are supposed to look neat and simple. i don't think the two come close at all. maybe except for the color, black.

anyway, motorworld & chiap lee sells riding pants. mainly for touring.

yes, wearing a riding pants to work is not really appropriate, one look n ppl will see u're not dress properly. mainly because of the material n pads.

if u want some proper safety leg gear with ur workdress, simply look for those attach on knee pads, it should serve some protection for daily travel.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Thank you Guys. Just had a change in Dept and now required to wear formal daily except Friday. Unless I ride only on Fridays, I am looking for suitable alternatives.

I was reading up and apparently jeans, if they are made of Cordura, would be acceptable as they are more resistant to abrasions than regular denim.

Did any one try this British brand "belstaff 5 pocket"? From the description, seems to be a close fit but the pictures don't do justice to the description.

is the overpants more like rain pants with thicker material and padding?

so far, i find rev-it's products pretty good quality for the price. the material and finish feels better than rs taichi & komine, but priced cheaper than dainese.
