URGENT help needed..

 

last 2 days i realise that my bike leak water.... whenever the bike is parked.. i dunno wat is the reason or what is going on.. anyone got any idea of it? wat is happening? these few days the same thing is happening.. it is from the bottom in the centre of the bike.. how ? share?

I want to change to a racing CDI, adjust to close ration gearbox, change to akrapovic/micron exhaust(endcan only n to be street legal in singapore), change to KNN air filter and to lift my suspension up a bit( feel like bike too low corner is not so stable ). How much would this set me back ? I plan to do up the bike end of this month/ first week of july.

The problem can range from juz a leaking water pipe, to very expensive repairs like leaking radiator or water pump gasket.

 

For ZXr400 this kinda age, the seals in the water pump tends to be shot.

 

Not cheap man.

thanks Simmz, sound n performance of the exhaust damn good sia =) Next to project is the cdi =/ HRCSGP bro the cdi alone is how much ar ? 850-900 a bit too steep for me to do both the gearbox + cdi at 1 time.

And can please explain to me how changing the cdi can improve a zxr prformance ? i want the bike to have better pick up. like wats the exact difference between race cdi n stock ? will valve open faster at lower rpm if use race cdi ? thanks in advance ya, me kinda new 2 zxr lol

hello all ZX4 bros... i wanna get my class 2a but i dont know what bike to get... is zx4 good..? any probs with the bike..? im tall so i dont like if the bike short... hows the maintainance of the bike..? btw compare to fireblade or gsx4 is there must diff..? i wanna use the bike for track and daily... any wise words or advice..?

well, i want a bike that has a good handling for track and daily use... problem is im quite tall and fat so a 2b bikes is quite small and short and the power is like dragging with my weight... performance, zx4 can do at jb X-performance right..? so compare to singapore should help in the maintainance... can take long distance ride at high speed i guess... so i can go to Pasir gudang for track haha... n hows the FC n stuff... because i cant really decide between zx4, g4 and cbr... not sure which bike has good pick up, mid range or top speed... thanks for your time...

hmmm.. but if u got into accident part of kawa is more troublesome to get as it need to import.. as for top end and performance many ppl whould know which 1 is better compare with differe cat. of 2a sportbikes.. tat y i selling of my zx4..

heya bro. Honestly both the bikes are good in their own respective way. Gsxr is more or less ready to race from its initial stock condition. very stable during high speed corners and in terms of accleration in its stock condition u can already get like 100km/h in 4+ secs easy. However gsxr is a damn old bike, if u plan to buy 1 pls do get a model without the powercut

 

Zxr400 is newer, i bought 1 from here also lol. 1997 model. No problems pertaining to electricals nor engine at all but i have an issue with the pick up of the bike. i cant seem to get the same accleration that i can get with the gsxr.

So i bought a micron pipe from simmz, put knn air filter and got the mech to tune the bike up. Its a lot more powerful now, n in a straight line i can say that the 0-100 pick up is abt the same as the gsxr but it can reach > 200km/h faster than the Gsxr. [ however my gsxr is using stock pipe so if i get an after market pipe for it then maybe fair to compare ]. regardless zxr 400 stock pipe really sucks lor lol.

 

Riding posture is biggest difference when comparing these bikes. The gsxr is race posture whereas the zxr is lower u dont arc so much when sitting down , more like sports tourer kind of position. if i wanna go on a 1 hour + ride ill take the zxr over the gsxr.

 

if ure getting any of the 2a sportsbikes be it a gsxr,cbr,rvf or zxr juz standby some $ cause second hand bikes u might need to repair it a bit, but in terms of performance i believe the difference between the 4 bikes are very minimal leh. go with the one u like in terms of handling and design =p.
