hello, i'm posting on behalf of my sister who's taking TP next week liao.

i wonder if this thread is still alive though?

anyway, do u guys think CBR150 is easy for gals to handle? my sis not too tall ah so i'ma bit worried she might have problem. she try my NSR SP just barely both feet on the ground liao.

for 2nd hand ones wat are the plates available and how much do they cost? for machine price only.

thanks in advance for any info and help rendered!

:cheeky: :cheeky:

i just went to see one yesterday. it's owned by a lady rider who's now expecting a baby and so she's selling off her cbr150.

it's certainly really light and easy to ride for a rookie. you'll be surprised at just how light it is and how easy to handle. i certainly felt really at ease with it.

the seat height is 776mm but the seat is narrow so it's easier to reach the ground.

she's looking at about $3.5k for this FW bike (June 2003) which has only done 7,000+km and is well maintained and with Dunlop tires and Scottoiler.

she's also throwing in her Arai full face helmet, and the original (new) tires if you want them.

if you're interested i can help put you in touch with her.

i've never thought of buying a sports bike before seeing it, but now i'm trying to decide if i should buy this instead of a scooter.

the details are here:

http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/sg/auction/89297398

with the good condition, better tires and low mileage, plus the free Arai FF, i suppose it's hard to get her to lower the asking price. no harm contacting her and arranging to have a look!

Hi Guys,

I just saw the new CBR and the design is very nice. Are they using a sticker for the honda wing design on fairing or spraying?

If it is a sticker, do u have any idea where to buy the whole set of honda wing sticker for that fairing or not? Because my plan is I want to change design of my CBR 150 fairing.

:help:

Thank you guys....

Got my 2b 3 weeks ago and got cbr150 2 weeks ago. 45000+ km, blue color, on the road $2500.

so far the bike is very smooth and love the sound of it, compared to a s stroker, but dont feel the power i guess dues to its 150cc engine. Only tried 120km/h so far and goes well but engine screams as though going to reach its limit, i m not surprised 140-150 is the bike's limit.

i hear plenty telling about checking engine oil and coolant for this bike. Synthetic oil required change only every 10,000 so as to speak as a driver and regular engine oil is change every 5000km. Is this so with such bikes?

This would mean that synthetic oil would req change every 3 months if riding 110km a day.how about oil filter, (i think the bike doesnt have 1)?

Its a nice bike and very easy to handle. was wondering if anyone can share some technical tips of the bike like maintenance.

Any other cbr150 riders out there? share some knowledge?

Looking for a group to give this bike a ride up to malaysia, exactly i dont kow , let the group decide. but looking for a group or organized riders with small bikes to that i dont feel like i am riding a bicycle and get left behind

I'm looking for a CBR150 !! Heard it's a really good bike with little problem (if taken care nicely) , what's the market price for a 2-3 year bike ? Anyone letting theirs go ?

Ride On!!!

For a 3yr old bike from my knowledge, it runs from 2500-3500, depending on the paint work and the mileage. If its ur first bike, get it from a shop, untill u get to know the bike better and u can dirty ur hands on her. u can look for some at ubi ave 1 or ubi road 1, i forget anyway its the one thats near the traffic police, along blk 3006, there are some bike shops ans they carry the cbr150, new and used. the red paint job costs less than the repsol, but cost mofre than the yellow. Mine is blue, not in demand paint job so it was cheaper. bought it from around there too, ATAN to be exact. Check with other shops and friends if u have any, on age of bike that governs price and not mileage. I find that a bit odd but then again its a bike, decent price, good on gas, gives no trouble, surely not a racing type bike, so why bother asking all sorts of questions. If it fits ur bill, take it! and enjoy the ride!!! c u all on the highway

i just got my cb150 yesterday and have rode it quite a bit since. it seems like a really decent bike. can probably go 40km to the litre. good handling and stable. i changed the rear tire to a slightly thicker one(those sp type) for better grip. besides being a little skinny, which makes it easier to squeeze thru traffic, it actually looks quite pleasant. i managed to hit 120 without much effort on the throttle. definitely not as powerful and garang looking as 2A or class 2 bikes but much more economical. easier to maintain than 2 stroke bikes as well. i bought mine for 2800 otr without insurance. for a well maintained 2 year old bike which came with a brand new box and new thicker rear tires, that's a really good deal. bought mine at albert motor. good service there. i heard the pulsar 180 is the most economical bike now, can go 700-800km on the full 18 litre tank. but don't really trust indian brand. heard it's not very stable also. but a decent looking bike and easily resellable. not as fast as the cbr150 though.
