I'm new here, and I thought I'd help refresh the page for a new year for 2011 learners, hoping to meet more avid learners on the forums as we all go through the course and pass our TP eventually!

Did my Prac 4 this morning, got to meet a couple of new friends who was there previously for Prac 4 and managed to get some tips from them for the obstacle courses. Thanks a lot! Though eventually I still need more practice on the e-brake, i keep looking down instead of up when braking to stop before the line. So will be back to pass the next time.

Hope to hear more from fellow learners here on for my course of learning as well as riders who passed for some tips and notes. All the best everyone!

Hi! i jus passed not long ago. now CDC test route for TP got two test routes eh heard from the instructors

Only one route. The old route stopped already. New route much easier. I used both routes before.

Here is a tip for those riders who when stopping right leg always come down first instead of left leg. Just before stopping (during braking) turn handle bar slightly to the right and the bike will lean back to the left so you can put your left leg down instead of right. Please do not do this during e-brake or you will skid.

Didn't get to ask about the Test Route(s) because the instructor spoke about a new TP ruling;

All learners who have yet to do their orientation lesson (at least) will have to clear off their Theory Lessons, Internal Evaluation and RTT before they will be allowed onwards to the practicals.

In short, a PDL is required for circuit training now. The difference is that you cannot take Lesson1-5 concurrently with your Theory lessons.

For those who are halfway through practicals, it does not affect you and you may carry on as usual, but it is encouraged for you to clear your RTT asap.

Guess it will be a more linear route for riding lessons now.

On a side note, I've cleared off all my 4 theories, and did 6trial tests papers, will be going for another e-trial to clear the remaining 4 test papers before going for the Internal Evaluation on 10th May. Whew, I'm excited.

i heard that there r 2 routes now..

No more 2 routes. I used the old route last(2nd Dec 2010). After that all using new route. If they put back the old route then I don't know anything about it. By the way the new route is 50% easier than old route.

The path to a new 2b license has just become longer.

Omg. That's really horrible. as if the waiting time for the theory lessons weren't long enough already. But I guess that means people can clear prac1-8 faster now after getting RTT over and done with.

I guess the new training process, being more linear, can be better in some ways, instead of trying to do Practicals and Theories concurrently, end up forgetting about either one and end up getting stuck for practs halfway due to not doing theory in line.

Wa, like dam jialait eh. theories have to wait so long one.. then by the time theories all cleared, already dunno how many months liao

Ya, their theory classes always limited space. If you miss one, need to wait for 2-3 weeks.

I think in view of the recent changes, CDC have ramped up their theory dates recently to facilitate learners' quest to pracs. The instructor at my Theory L4 was giving out closer dates and advising learners on how to swap their theory lessons further away to more recent ones.

hey bro, you cleared your theory liao? I'm awaiting for my IE on 10th May.

hopefully can clear quickly then apply for RTT. haha.

Finished off 6 trial tests during the free etrial test, will clear off 4 more to up question pool experience before my IE. all the best to you. :)

Hey guys, my RTT result slips says it expires in 3 months, can I still apply for PDL? If can, will the PDL last only 3months?

Im still stuck at prac 5 and had to stop going for lessons due to dengue fever and some injuries. Will I need to retake RTT?

Thanks in advance.

Never let someone else's irrational fears hold you back.

If the RTT slip is within the 3 months you should be able to apply for your PDL still, and your PDL will last for 6 months and can be extended for a fee.

Information gotten from SPF website.

Please correct me if I'm wrong anyone. thanks! :)
