STP cleaners

hey anyone used dese products b4? u'll normalli c bottles of dese stp products at petrol stations one.. supposed to clean e fuel injector n engine of carbon deposits.. we juz review on e carbon cleaning agents ba, neglect e octane boosters n stuff.. hee

 

i've been thinkin my 9yr old bike mite need a clean up inside n dese may help

Oh well, I have had tries a few STP products ranging from their ‘Octane Booster’, ‘Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner’ and “Complete Fuel System Cleaner’. Maybe they does help but, I just don’t feel any different probably that’s because my machine is still consider new. ‘Octane Booster’ was tested on my Shadow Ace 400 though and the experience was rewarding as there was a significant better mileage achieved but, that was only the first and last bottle I ever tries. Probably could check with Feiray as he has tested on his Royalstar once too.

i'm thinkin of using e complete cleaning thing from stp.. i bet none of e previous owners actualli bothered to do any 'internal cleaning' of carbon n e sort so i tot mayeb i'd juz try n c if i can feel anything.. juz went ard lookin at it n it costs a nice 25bucks.. ha.. prob is it 'treats up to 21gallons' but my drag is onli like 4 gallons.. gotta split up n use a few times liaoz.. haha

hmm sounds cool.. but i wun be buying so soon ba.. haha.. slightly tight up now.. maybe in a week's time.. shld be gg in msia check out e price too when i gg in to refuel.. prob getting both e complete system cleaner n e super concentrated fuel injector cleaner.. will pm u if i do get dem.. cheers

hmm.. fp60 is more like a 'keep clean' product huh.. e complete cleaner from stp i juz got is more of like a 'cleaning agent'.. not recommended for use more den once every 4000miles.. personally i'm not so hardworking to add smth to e tank every top up la.. haha.. so i think e stp complete cleaner mite juz suit me better ^^"

I will question the safety of products that warn not to be used too often.

 

I do not agree that FP60 is a 'keep clean' product. We tried it out lots of applications, it is a potent cleaning agent.

 

Eg 1: Car has busted coils, plugs not firing. Agent replaced coils, but abrupt throttle response persisted. The fairly new teutonic technology overpriced POS car had a history of abrupt throttle response. Dumped in FP60, immediate improvement. After 2 tank fulls, abrupt throttle response is gone even without FP60 application. Slight gain in milage that is insignificant.

 

Eg 2: Put FP60 in 2 carburetted cars, 15~20yr old machine. Immediately smoothed out response and gave a more torquey response. 1~2km/L gain in milage. 1 owner reported the milage gain remained even after he stopped using FP60 after sample ran out. Owner too cheap to purchase product that had such a good effect, so we'll never know the true benefit in long term.
