I currently ride a Honda Sp150, I am keen to know if the customized removable pillion seat cowl/cover(made of moulded fiberglass) to make the bike seem like a one seater is legal? Something like the one in the pic.

Thanks in advance guys and gals!

Seriously, for small rear seat like yours, should juz wrap the seat to look one seater. Save all the problems.

I think i can comfirm u, my hayabusa came with a one seater cowl as a whole. Went inspection with it n i got a warning. Pass but with a warning.

Could possibly be due to safety reasons... because the fibre glass seat cowls do not offer the grip on pillions and they may fall off the bike. Even though riders install seat cowl saying they do not want to carry pillion, most are kidding themselves as it is the cosmetic chio-ness they are more after... So they make it illegal for the safety of innocent pillions since TP cannot guarantee that you will not carry a pillion if the bike did not come as a single seater bike... !?

Well if u think its crazy to have a seat cowl being illigal then my fren has been fined for not having rear footrest for pillion. Hrm. . . .

If because of slippery, can just put an anti slip mat like the one on dashboard.. tried and tested.

i've never heard of anything like that before. in my years of riding, i've nvr had to deal with such stupid offences. maybe TP see bike one, i notice they only target smaller bikes when it comes to such offences.
