Sorry to disappoint. Its no bikini bike wash :cheeky:. Instead its a charity bike wash raising funds for Community Chest. This is organised by my colleagues and myself. It will be held at a Mutlti storey carpark ard towner rd, a central location. More details of the exact location with the map will be available soon. All funds collected will go to community chest. Those who are afraid of discrepencies or afraid that we will be installing gold taps in our toilet with the donations :p , not to worry. Collection details will be made available to all who donated at a later date upon request. In addition, all donations will be documented at the location. We appreciate a min amount of $10 per bike so as to make the effort as fruitful as possible. Those who wish to give more, pls feel free to to do so. Date is 4TH OCT, SUNDAY, BTW 10AM-3PM. We hope to gather at least 50 bikes. We are approaching a few bike forums consisting of our friends for this event. Pls help to pass the word around. Thanks! God Bless!

POINTS TO NOTE

We will exercise great care in washing the bikes so as not to damage any parts.

Only colleagues who are bikers will wash the bike.

All washing components will be coming as donations from our own pockets. So don expect top range products to be used.

We are not professional bike washers. So don expect a spotless bike wash.

Thanks for your understanding.

Overview of the event

The bike wash is one of several activities we are planning to raise funds for Community Chest. For more info about ComChest, pls log on to (http://www.comchest.org.sg/comchest/....aspx?tabid=78). The grand finale of these will be a 24 hrs run in Dec. 30 men from our troop will be taking turns to run for the duration. We are also looking for companies to pledge donations for every hour of the run. We are only seeking donations from family and friends as it it a private initiation and we do not have any form of professional audit or documentations being done. Rather then going around asking for cash, we decided to provide our services in exchange for donations. All proceeds will be handed over to ComChest during our annual dinner in Jan 2010.

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

Well after much consideration of finance status,i tink i'm gonna follow Ramesh advise of turning ny BB to a naked BB streetfighter.Don wan an X-11 lookalike but juz a little different. So any ideas to input.Looking at my engine bay it is still in good condition,i'll have to invest in my instrument panel ans lights and thinking of replacing the bars with Renthal handles but i noe there will be some adjustment needed on the cables(throttle and clutches and brakes) so we'll see my upcoming project,if i can afford it lah.

Yah Bro.... Better to get the bike running first

then to leave it waiting.....

This is my suggestion...

Instrument panal get Vapor computer..... Cheap and all the things u need inside... odemeter, speedo, temp etc etc depends which model... I cant remember the price but I remember Rakbir doing some research on it recently..... its digital and definately cheaper....

As for the clip ons... ull spend too much money on the top clamp... I suggest u get a pair of re-cond clip ons.. for the head cowling got alot in the market. U can even fabricate something to give u head blast protection and protect ure vapor meter....I saw one super nice "Carbon" head cowling at Ah Boy.... Maybe with a bit of mods can fit to the front part of ure bike... It will also cover all the wires and mess... bro once u go street fighter its all in ure imagination...... wat u may have to spend tho is probably change ure radiator hoses to bling bling colored ones and really take the time to polish the engine.... that will not be the highlight of ure bike.... Ure looking at about 1K as compared to abt 5K to get ure bike fixed up.... Ill look out for u at bikepics for anything nice

bye bye blackbird.........................

come 2010 honda will be releasing an all new big bore hypersports tourer, most lilkely to replace the discontinued cbr1100xx. let's give a warm welcome to the VFR1200:

http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200906/2010-honda-vfr1200-o-5_800x0w.jpg

this bike has some sweet specs:

- shaft driven single sided swingarm (no more scottoiler!)

- inverted forks with radial mounted brake calipers (finally!)

- v4 powerplant capable of giving out 200 horses (bye bye busa...?)

http://www.sportrider.com/news/146_0906_2010_honda_vfr1200_spy_photos/index.html

it kinda looks like a cross between a beemer k1200s & an 08 cbr1000rr, & judging from the current yen exchange rate, will probably have a 30k price tag once it hits our shores. also there are rumours circulating about an all new st1300 as well. damn, just when i had purchased a new flat. oh well, i guess my xx will be with me for another year or so..............
