Just a random question guys...our bb's meter reads till 299km/h rite?...Upon hitting that 299km/h,will there be any speed cut?...

the digital speedo only goes up to 299

not really 299 but the 99 in the 299 is like abit weird looking

changing the gearing is a bit of here and there

u definately loose something to gain something

either faster pick up lousy top end or lousy pick up higher top end

my advise is never play with gearing... the engineers in Honda are paid big money to make the best of the bike... Like wat Snail says... best get a GPS.... True speed is reflected.... my speedo is about 6-8% off

initial test runs by Americans on the BB using a speed trap have always hovered around the 287KPH range.. the Busa is actually the first 300kph bike according to a speed trap... (read 99 Busa)

Anyway I cant seem to send the manual over email as the file is too big... I may burn a copy on CD... altho i think im not the only one who has it

Hi All,

I am considering to get a Black Bird soon and I was wondering on what to look out for when purchasing a Black Bird? And between the carb or fuel injection model...which is better? I've never owned a big bike before..and the biggest i've ridden is a 400cc bike. And btw, most likely i'll be buying the bike from someone here in the forum.

I would really appreciate if i could get some good feedback from you guys.

Thanks. :)

Thanks bro for yr input. At least now i have a rough idea what to look out for when i'm testing the bikes. Most of the bikes i've viewed are over 150XXXkm. So i guess they should have gone for a top over-hauled. Between the carb n fuel injection like you said, i don't think there's much difference in performance. And i guess the carb model should be easier to maintain. So i might consider getting a carb model.

Anyway thanks bro..

bro... be it whether exceeded 150XXXkm or not... try the bike first, if everything jus fine and great jus let it be... sometimes after doing top over hauled, something will come up from nothing... save the money up first... pple normally will do it is when they r the first owner and still maintaining the bike... cos the owner knows it well...

LOL

Bro u shd get the Laurier pack with wings

Anyway under the recomendation of another friend,

I went and got the strobe white LED lights for my pilot light

Wah damn bling bling

Switch it on one time it comes on... very bright

Switch it on twice and it converts to strobe

very bling bling

Tried it last week at the nsh.... ****ing bright

but it doesnt have the light throwing power

so when combined with the headlight, its 2 in 1

now to get the diaode for the blinding high beam flash

Intend to put it along the airwent on both sides

and the rear strobe.... will be going down to Sim Lim after APEC

anyway my day trip to Malacca next week is confirmed....

Going with some other bikers... let u all know how the trip was

Actually hard to say..... the BB is quite a strudy bike so sometimes problems wont surface so easily.... I know one BB went for full engine overhaul at 107000km..... but that bike not for sale lah... almost cost the rider 4K...... Ive seen a 250K BB tats newer than mine as well the engine still sounds sweet... its really luck.... like all second hand bikes luck is a major part... carb models are rumored to be more powerful... but bro even the 06 model does 250 easily if u wanna push it so i really dont know where the power is lacking... at that speed only GOD can save u if u hit a pebble.. shop around... take ure time
