While in the midst of restoring my bird in its riding glory,fixing the bike was fun and also exhaustive.I also not been spared by the 25 blinks,but something miracle happen after i crank up my bike.Revved it til 11000 RPM,was hoping to see the 25 blinks but no have lei......took the bike for a spin at my werk area goin above 3k RPM (thats where the FI light will come) still no sign.My bike starts with the Fi diagnostic like other BB so the Fi is werking in order.Which leaves me wondering,mebbe we need to *knock the sense out of the ECU* aka crash it to eliminate the Fi...wahahahahahahaahaha..Juz joking ah.....dun go crashing ur bike juz to rid teh FI coz the cost of repairing ur bike is as same of getting a new ECU....

actually more often then not, the 25 blinks seem to be caused by poor connectors rather than the ecu

to those with 25 blinks check connectors and wiring... last resort then change ecu or wiring harness or knock sensor or whatever the mechs tell u

While riding and if the Fi lite comes,stop to the side of the road.Do Not Off ur engine,let it run.Go to Neutral and put down ur side stand for 5 sec then then kick back ur side stand up and count the blinks.For knock sensor it normally starts with 2 long blinks followed by 5 short blinks.Long blinks normally is 2 sec delay while short blinks are per sec.

 

once ur idle is ok normally ard 1100~1500 rpm den its ok to ride.

Contemplating ah bro...renew ins nearly 1.2k not inclusive of rd tax.Next year April COE die......must make wise decision bro.....

 

 

U can only follow from behind if only u take 400cc bike,ur falcon is 1300cc lei....big horsepower difference.Guess u need safety harness to latch on ur bike juz incase ur right hand tends to be heavy...wahahahahahaha

haha....whats the normal operating temperature of bb ah? Warm up til wat temp before moving off is ideal? Whats the ideal idling speed? :D the ex owner owner tells me he get f1 2 long beep and 10 short beep cos of the hella horns he installed. anybody have this also?

 

hmmm...anywhere to download service manual for 05 bb? haynes is better right? but i see the haynes only it states 99-02. does it mean its different from 03-07? :X HAHA pardon my laziness..

 

Try the international bb forum...there is the service manual for it..need to download..FI bb runs hotter then carb models..Normally while crusing at SG highway speeds,on a hot sunny day it will go up to almost 100 deg...Fan will on exactly at 102 degress.

 

On NSHW speeds (110km/h X 2),it will never drop below 83 degrees. Highest i've reached is 117 degrees,that was on a sunny day and jam packed traffic in KL. Malaysia traffic light timing is damn long,i suggest to switch off the engine while waiting.

hahaha oh so thats u.. haha..... riding quite fast leh u.. haha... anyway, i got 2007 model's bb service manual and a carb bb service manual. i think 97 one.. can find online.. quite eaasy... my bb is 04 model.. but 04 to 07 same same leh. lol.

sorry cant help u all on the blinking part of the FI... still new to birdy.. lol..

btw! how to adjust the clock ah? for the digital meter. u press and hold the button beside the clock and it will blink. that should be when i can be able to adjust. but press what to adjust sia? :X

No lah not fast lah. U must see the crackos n hantu's otr.

 

If sending ur bike at bikeworkz juz say ur ah pui blackbird who's werking as a forklift mechanic fren. I always send him for major repair if i'm too lazy to do or if it takes more than 2 days to complete.

Well managed to service my wax unit today...really a PITA kinda werk....damn shock to see the crud and smudges in it....no wonder my auto choke never werk.How to do it....pls refer to CBRXX forum....to detail for me to explain.....

My 25 blinks no more oredi...thnk god but now got 2 blinks(MAP sensor) but engine operate normally.My 4 cylinders are firing as they shud be and the throttle response is the sweetest thing i long to hear.Tomorrow gonna do up the bike and inspect wat went wrong......

MaP sensor ar bro?..Check the vaccum hoses routing...either got salah or there's some leakage or the map sensor sumbat...Btw bro if u need new vaccum hoses i have one set under my bed. Bought an extra set just incase not enough for my bird's vaccum hose replacement project. In the end i use only one packet and have another one unused.

 

Cleaned my wax unit last few months...replaced the O rings..Wanted to buy the overhaul kit which consists of the wax unit,o-rings and some gasket but too ex 75SGD for just that it. Plus wax unit will never go wrong,its juz that the O-ring will wear..

Dunt think the partsdealers got bring in that thing need to order maybe or if they have it can cost quiet expensive. Try searching for thick rubberband. But no harm asking the dealers first lah...

 

One thing i realize about bb stock parts,only the most frequent used parts will be in stock,things like mainstand bushings,wax unit,piston,conrod etc etc will always needs to be back ordered from Japan...

Upon checking the bike,found out the vacuum ter-accidently came off as i removed the fuel rail yesterday.Now its ok.....wohooo!!!!!!!!

Alamak...raining plak...tot of going for spin ard my werk area......hand itchy,backside itchy,balls itchy to go for a long ride..........dilemma...dilemma......
