So guys issit true if once i rectify my fi fault, i should reset my ecu so that it erases its memory on the fault?

Frankly speaking,it will come again. Couple of the birdies here gave up and change the ecu.

Juz now I warmed up my bike to ard 58deg with the FI lite illuminated though I do not know how to read the diagnos, my bike cut off by itself..normally I warmed up to 80deg or ard 4 mins.

 

the previous couple of nites my bike is exposed to rain(free wash) & cool weather(nice!)..guess there might be vapours around the connectors thus causing so..???

 

now I stop for lunch & parking time the bike cut off by itself again..nvr notice the FIs though Zzzzz

Hello Everybody;

 

I just took over a 2001 BBird and was perplexed at the FI Light problems. I have been a decent follower of Honda Motorcycles and have opinioned them to produce pretty good quality motorcycles. I still think they produce good motorcycles. I have read up on Black Birds and saw how it revolutionised Power enhancement on motorcycles.

This is potentially the fix to all your FI lighting up.

 

Let's look at it step at a time:

1) ECM - Electronic Control Module.It is a mini computer that excepts signals from various sensors in the vehicle and sends signals to various switches to make your bike run.

2) Location of ECM is just behind the Tail Light

3) How does the ECM receive Electrical Signals? - Through the wiring loom or some call it the wiring harness.

 

Due to the ECM being unable to pick up strong signals (voltages or currents) due to degradation in wiring connectors, the ECM throws out errors of what it thinks is going wrong. The Human interface to the errors is the blinks through the blinking light. Below is a list of what the blinks are suppose to mean. This blinking procedure emulates that of a BMW or MERC exept that there are no written annunciations as the cars would give. So, due to this problem of not being able to pick up the voltages and currents, alot of people(some after being advised by mechanics) have changed knocking sensor, ECM etc etc. The fix is merely to hardwire your sockets in your wiring Loom. Try this gentlemen. I think this should work fine, but hey I may be WRONG still:cool:. THe BlackBird is a good bike with a Bullet proof engine like most other Honda's, smooooth like SILK hahah. :-) Don't forget to RESET ECM/U after hard wiring your connectors. Good commuting tyres bro as for sg riding speed these can last quite some time and price wise also ok..used this tyres last few years..downside is the tyres warm up abit slow plus during long highspeed(let say GP-Sungai Besi 1.5hrs) runs the rubber like mcm overheat and become very2 soft..

Not sure for diablo corsa I had friend got corsa went ride to penang come back tire almost botak but good grip and have confidence with the tyre. Good tire but not good mileage.

 

I still remember my s4 using mechilen tyre pilot sport 6 mths botak already.
