For those who has backache due to long ride and can't afford to buy those expensive aftermarket bars.Got a solution for u guys.Did this mod long time ago and tested proven to ride safely with no issue.

1) Loosen the nut holding the clip.

2) Remove the circlip from the fork

3) Remove the 1 bar and put the circlip all the way down to the yoke

4) Adjust the bars so that it will become higher abit.Not too much,prefer that the screw be able to grip the fork.

5) Align the lug nut to the slot den tightened the screw.

6) Start engine,and turn left and right. If the rpm goes higher while turning the handlebars,it shows that the bars are too high.

Once done,confirmed that u've tightened the handlebar screws.

Juz an update,tomorrow will be sending my bike for inspection soo......most likely the bike will be otr this mth.

Today my reserve blink at 235km, i ride bb as normal until 270 i decided to go jb at express way on the way i keep see my mileague and wait to dry as i already standby 2liter patrol. But the engine keep going until i reach jb shell it was already 300km and i think i still can go somemore but not sure. I remember i pump last time shell 97 v power and i add STP injection cleaner. Not sure is it because of the STP. Anyway is it norml for bb reserve can go 70++km. Anyway im happy with i will try again this time until dry. Just pump 21liter 97vpower.

Shud be dat range, sometimes the fuel float dont give the correct reading. But if ure a throttle happy kinda a guy, better pump when reserve starts to blink or else like wat Jbat say... Not hensem to push a bike..lol

Rode the bird for the first time in 3 yrs,without fi light the bike feels rough,den it came but surpringly it feels smooth... Guess the Ecm is putting it in safe mode but can still feel the power... Well its wet now on the road so guys pls be extra careful if u are riding k

Hi everyone..any recommendation shop for carb tuning. I got erratic idling when bike is hot. sometimes 2krpm..sometimes up and down..when i throttle from idling..it goes back to 2k rpm..feels like it goes back to idling not smooth and high. hmmm..

My bb bogs at 3500rpm. Was cruising at 100km..wanted to pull the throttle..and then it bogs. After few monitoring..found it bog at 3500rpm onwards. Got a gut feeling its the carb prob. Should i sent back to the M1 motoring or should i just go straight to ah lai...sigh

My bb bogs at 3500rpm. Was cruising at 100km..wanted to pull the throttle..and then it bogs. After few monitoring..found it bog at 3500rpm onwards. Got a gut feeling its the carb prob. Should i sent back to the M1 motoring or should i just go straight to ah lai...sigh

 

If bike still under shop warranty go back to m1 but if not, go to ah lai..

Hi guys, recently i installed hazard lights on my bike & after awhile my battery drained out.

 

Mech suspect short circuits & in a hurry forgot to enquiry abt some other matters..

 

so would like to ask if any fella BBs have similar experiences;

 

as it happened in jb at late noon, the bike shop replaced my Yuasa YTX9-BS with the most fitting he could find which is a YUASA YTX7A-BS..

 

Is it usable for BB EFI as per normal & will it affect the alternator & rectifier though theech advised me that fitting the YTX7A-BS is juz temp measure..

For fi bb use ytx12bs bro..anything below that not enough juice to power up the lights,sensors and etc..fi bike uses lots of battery power hence a bigger capacity one is needed..

Hi Coolcat,i suggest u look into CBRXX forum.I've learned alot from there and as ur bike is cardy whereelse most of us are riding FIs,there isn't much of help.The forum has lots of carby riders who has problems with their ride too so juz register and u'll find ur answer in there.

This is wat i learn in the forum,carby bike has wind deflectors after the oil cooler.They can't take too much wind pressure of else it will make the AFR go haywire.AFR - air fuel ratio.

Unlike FI we have snorkel box to direct the cool air to our airbox as the ECM will determine the correct fuel/air mixture.

Hope it helps.Dun loose faith over the BB,once u get it right,u'll be loving every moment of it.

which M1 branch did u get it from? What plate and color..? I suspect you are riding my friends problematic bb which he sold to M1.. same problem even after overhauling the engine..

As mention before,dun despair over bike problems.Every problems has it solution. Get Ahlai to check ur bike if ur shop unable to rectify the problems.

Just nice,thinking of changing to lighter racing lithium batt but not sure is it available & suit BB..

Yupz saw ur bike at Yishun carpark yesterday. But when I came down back bout 1 1/2 hr later, u oredi go off liao...

I suggest you go to KNT, look for Clifford. I send my carb BB to him. He may charge slightly ex but the services he & his guys rendered is superb (dun get the wrong idea huh!! haha). Always, Always satisfied when my bike is out from his shop... U can PM me if you need more details....Cheers bro...
