wanted to DIY but i look at the front panel seems like may screw & nuts to be tken out io order to access to the light bulb woh! Btw is our head light bulb 12V? so just buy from any petrol koisk? Thanx guys

if i'm not wrong they are using the same engine. only diff is outlook, GTS is heavier and bulkier thus its more stable joyride on the other hand has a slimmer body thus making it easy to squeeze between vehicles but high speed might not be as stable. Joyride comes with HID if i'm not wrong

Hi all just to check... wats ur rpm idling at when travel between 60-70 km/hr? Mine is around 6-8. Is it normal? my FC only 25km/litre and i'm only running in so travelling at 60-70km/hr... Oh anyway i'm riding a GTS200...

 

Anyone? can advise?

60 - 70km/h is ard 6krpm not exceeding 7krpm.

and i am still running in my gts. my first top up FC was 28km/l

sec top up was 25km/l...

but my avg speed is ranging from 60 - 80km/h

and i clocked 120km per day due to work commitments...

Some more i'm like 95kg and the engine sounds loud when i ram higher rpm like going up slopes... Thought wa not normal.. So its normal la at 6-7krpm... I just pumped my third petrol... monitoring if FC will be better. My first 25km/hr was at 60km/hr. Now i going at 70-80km/hr now... See if FC gets better...

parts are cheaper compared to italian scooters. as for comparision to jap scoots i have no idea

yup.. i tried not to exceed 7000rpm... consider my gts move off ard 4500-5000rpm and if i wanna accelerate.. the engine does sounds like screaming. and i know why i got 28 - 29km/l the first pump. coz i didn't really open the throttle hard at traffic lights. now on the second pump, i start to like the acceleration of the bike. so almost every traffic light i will open the throttle a bit harder but still not exceeding 7000rpm and that explains my 25km/l...

 

by the way... at 500km i only change EO. according to the manual still gotta change transmission oil and wash the oil filter which i didn't do... will anything be affected?

i did my 1st service at 300+ also. then at 1k follow by the last free service at 3k. i heard some did first service at 1k too. never like to do service where i bought the bike becos you are not allow to see while they are touching your bike.

i think rpm will go down after running in. but FC also depend on your riding habits/style.

i bought at albe*t motors... and regretted. coz i gotta get my own rack at FS and got a lousy 36L box while i saw those at mah comes with the customised rack from FS and a 46L kappa box. sian.

 

i thought the moving off rpm is normal... what's yours then? coz it will drop when the bike is cruising... and after the oil change... my FC is back at 28km/L... and my bike is finally going to finish running in. time to change EO to fully syn and clean the oil filter.

(So less than $7k) Think pick up rpm about the same as yours but while cruising at 60-80km, my rpm will never drop below 6krpm.. Its always between 6-7krpm... Same as yours? Now i running in at 600+km already.... havent gone for my servicing cos they say 1000km then service.. Maybe i'll go service today then maybe 1500km service again then 3000km last one... Just did my 1k servicing today at mah at 760km... theirs is servicing at 1k, 2k and 3k. only change EO and gear fluid. They use SPC 4T Super for my EO. Is it good? Is it a fully syn or semi or mineral oil? never really check my bike... 20 mins done already... only change EO and gear fluid... Thought they will inspect the bike... After changing EO the rpm seems to be a bit lower...

when i change from mineral to semi.. the rpm also dropped. coz i think semi is not so thick as compared to mineral oil. depends on the EO rating u used i assume... by the way.. how long have u gotten your bike? and is it your first bike?

I got my bike on the 8 Aug.. Yup its my first bike... Passed my TP on the 6 Aug... Haha... SPC 4T Super is a fully syn or semi? Its rating is 20w40. Now my rpm like going back to before le... Waiting for the tank to finish to see if FC improves...
