Hi, I will be getting my new Joyride 200 this week.

Can I pump 92 octance petrol for my new bike.

cos the mechanic told me to pump 95 and above.

No! Not advisable. Even the manual says 95 and above. Obiviously the mechanic got read the manual. Auto scooter's engine are very sensitivity to petrol quality.

 

Reason is: This engine bo pian, have to go high rpm for rider to obtain mininal 90km/h or high pick up (acceleration). Due to the stress we cause, the engine will definitely need a better grade of fuel such as 98 for better combustion.

 

P.S. Just saw a blue joyride at Far east SC park. FX**** Very nice! :lovestruck:

hi gentoro, i've read your post again, it seem that your

manual might be differ from mine. Pump SPC 98.

 

Anyway now have to run-in the bike, so travelling 60km/h

and below, but the bike feel smooth & quiet when travelling

except for initail moving off & going up slope. need

to rev the bike harder.

100 km for under 60km/h. read again found the

manual last zero not very clear.

This is how i run in, maybe you wanna try>

 

Running in speed full Details i have done:

a) 30 to 50km/h for first 0 to 200km

40 to 60km/h for 200 to 300km

c) 40 to 70km/h for 300 to 500km

d) 50 to 80km/h for 500 to 650km

e) 50 to 90km/h for 650 to 750km

f) 60 to 100km/h for 750 to 900km

g) 60 to 105km/h for 900km to 1000km

h) 70 to 115km/h for 1000km to 1500km

when going downslope on expressway.

 

i take the AYE from jurong to clementi, got alot of flyover.

 

will do my 1st service the week as reaching 300km liao.:smile:

remember to do the 2nd servicing on the 1000km. Only change belt and bearing at 3000km. :smile:

I bought my Joyride200 1st hand at 6.1k OTR w/o IU include GST$190.

Trade in my FU Phantom200 at 3k. 1yr installment 6%.

Free Box,raincoat,bike cover(cheapo type).

 

Warranty till 5000km or 6 mth. Bought fm New southern motor.

 

Bike is only 171cc. Fuel comsumption currently:27km/l.

 

Problem: not used to throttling hard when moving off from stationary.

mechanic said normal for scooter bike. got difficulty going up MSCP.

still have not master how to climb the slope up to upper storey.

Ground floor always full.:sian:

 

End 2004: 6mth. Clocked 7800km on my Joyride. Adjusted the rear suspension from

3 to 4 and it now seem to be more stable when

doing cornering and also felt better when crossing road hump.

 

Total Petrol $315(273L) SPC 92.

Sevice: Engine & transmission oil total less than $60(DIY) plug NGK G power $5(1)

Yep. Shop said 4% for BIG bike only.

So 6%. Installment 1 yr is 206 x 12.

 

Have oso bought Stebel horn$16.50 but not fixed to bike yet.

they give better deal for trade in bike then Ubi area.
