Never encounter this on previous bikes i rode.

1. All FI errors have to be taken seriously as it indicates that there maybe something wrong with the Fuel Injection system. The only way to determine is when it happens, to get the error code(s) to see which component(s) causes it. This can be done via Dealer Mode.

2. Is this your first big bike? If it's not, you should already know that it is quite common. One way to lessen it is to oil the moving parts that may help. Areas near the gear shift and even to oil the chains can help. Rev the bike a little might ease the change of gear too.

Yups it is. I am using Fender Eliminator and gets dirty too. I guess the only way is to install the 'NO KISS' Mud Flap on the original rear fender. Won't be nice but will do the job.

Yups most of the 400/600cc parts can be fitted on the 750. Using the ATRE on my current ride.

Hi guys. Im new here, just took over Fly's white beauty. Was wondering if any of u here interested in swopping your stock matte black rear hugger with my gloss white one. Prefer the matte black one and it's a real pity I don't know how to appreciate the nicely done paint job. Don't wanna put Fly's effort to waste so trying to look for someone who likes it and keen to swop, if not I should be bringing to shop to spray back to matte black. Cheers!

Its called Fast Idling on the GSR400/600. I have yet to see GSR750 having such feature. It seems like they remove that feature on the GSR750. Do correct me if I am wrong. On the GSR400/600, upon starting the bike, the rpm will increase to about 1.2k to 1.5k rpm (manufacturer's recommendation). Yes need to adjust from time to time since it will run a bit - Before someone asks their GSR400/600 not hitting that mark. It seems like on the GSR750, it just starts with the set idling of about 1k rpm all the time. Maybe they have improve on the ECU to make do without the Fast Idling feature.

Anyway about error codes, once you switch off the bike, all error codes will be reset. One way to capture the error code is to make a dealer mode switch. Once an error appears, just switch on to dealer mode to see the error code. Usually its a one off since there maybe some communication problem between the probes and the ECU. Once switched off, and system reset, the error might go away. The persistant ones are the ones that must be taken note of.

okay thanks. hmmm but the uncle at auto bay guan hoe tell me cold start idle is almost 2k rpm. but whenever i start it is about the same around 1.4k rpm.

now my bike got some small issue it seems to engine off on its own when i am slowing down at traffic light, this happens 1-2 times a week. Now I dont see the FI lighting up anymore.

hi guys,

i have been riding my gsr 750 since july 2013, and it has been pretty smooth-sailing so far.

however, i encountered a headache problem this morning.

after i turn the ignition key on, the 'boot-up' sound of the bike sounded weird, and subsequently i cant start my engine.

there is a rattering sound when i press the starter, and the LED display will go blank and reset itself.

i cant get the engine to crank.

any ideas why this is happening? or has this happened to anyone? :(

sound like your battery is low. did you leave the key to park mode overnight?

Posted

don't think it is the battery.. been riding the bike daily, and didnt leave the key to park mode for long periods of time.

i suspect it's some kind of wiring problem as it seems like a electrical defect.

haha, sending it to bike shop tomorrow, and will update on the results later.
