I collected my Runner today. They ask me to collect at 6 plus, but i tried my luck to collect at 3 plus.

There was someone who wanted to take my bike, and duno wat they are doing allow tat guy to collect. Lucky i was there on time and i get to collect it. That poor guy seem disappointed. Imagine if i were there at 6 plus maybe i cant even collect my bike.

Like the bike alot, very comfy and easy to ride. And seriously for a guy standing at 1.8m, I cant put both my foot flat on the ground. The bike is quite high actually.

Sad thing is that the stupid manual is not in Eng and I dun understand anything at all.

Anything to look out for? I know got to top up coolent as compare to my Phantom last time no nid to do it. What other maintanence to look out for beside the normal servicing?

hmm..i tink de new 1 will be diff frm the previous makes..up to u guys to try out.. :goodluck:

The problems onli you 1st batch ppl will know thru trail and error..hope this make de coolant cap no probs alrdy..had probs with mine during my vxr days..

i hope it'll be as fun as the smaller wheels..but corner will be more stable la..

Collected and had put her to spin for 60km for less than 80kph as suggested by one of the forumer.

Pro

1. Smooth and ride like a babe.

2. Easy handing

3. Power

4. Stable

5. Rider cushion is comfy (pillion seat slightly harder)

6. Style (turn a few heads already)

Cons

1. Smell of the new bike breaking in is like burning plastic

2. Take at least three pressing of start to startup when engine is cold (overnight).

3. Condensation of water inside the front and back plastic cover for lights

4. Fans kick in quite often (engine too hot)

5. No english manual

6. 100km per half tank ( if full tank is 8.7 then 22km/l only)

Overall satisfy with performance.

I think you can try to change the coolant to maybe Engine Ice or Motul Inugel.. Maybe the bike won't be running that hot anymore. Can't wait to collect my Runner now. I want to fix up Leo Vince pipes for my Runner, anyone can tell me where to get Leo Vince?? Cheers!!:bouncefire:

You can get Motul Inugel or Engine Ice from Motoworld. Just bring down to Piaggio or any other shops you comfortable with and tell them you want to replace your coolant. They will need to drain out the old coolant and then bleed out any air in the system as they pour in the new coolant. Hope this helps..

I just got a reply from Piaggio, they say they have feedback to the Italy side about the owner handbook. However becos this bike is quite new, it will take a while for the handbook to be ready in English.

looks like we can organise a kopi session for us to drool on u guys new ride!!! haha!!!

Anyway the good question is....where you guys planning to put your IU Unit...? I kinda want to keep it hidden...so any suggestion? The old VXR you can put your IU underneath the front panel just above the headlights.....

Hi Guys,

Just a question regarding the shock absorber. The ride seem bumpy on the New Runner. Is it because the Runner is somewhat a performance bike which is why the suspension is stiff and hard? Or is it the bike is new that's why is like that? Or it will soften when time go by?

Anyhow I still running in the bike, have not really try the speed and torque of the bike yet. Anyone done it yet?

oh,sumthing to note..new wheels have a layer of wax for protection, its slippery..dun corner too hard 1st...as it takes awhile to melt it off..but shouldnt be long la..after 1 tank can go liaos..kup kup kup~
