Hi all.. I have a burning question to ask all x9 riders out there. I've been riding my x9 for more den half a yr, but i still tink i can't control the bike well. Everytime i stop, i have to put down the 2 legs to balance the bike. And when i squeeze between cars, i felt so unstable. Do you all feel the same too? or am i just the one feeling this. I rode my brother's super4 and it's totally a different experience. Is it becos x9 has no oil tank to grip onto? Is there any tricks or way to control the bike better? Anyone please advise..

How to check for handling? I changed my steering cone half a yr ago, pump my tires once fornightly and just did servicing. I always wobble when i come to a stop or when i try to squeeze between cars. It is worse when I pillion my gf. Is it because of my poor riding skills or due to the bike? I find x9 less stable compared to other bikes with oil tank. Tried a few of my friends bike, phantom, sp, super4, no problem with wobbling at all.

picking up is not so of an issue it's when u need to slow down n squeeze in between cars...u must be skilled to fulfill that..:cheeky:

guess most or all scooters will tend to wobble as it does not have a tank in between legs to grip.

I don't think you can't handle the scooter after more than half yr of riding, it might be something wrong somewhere. Have you tried any of your friend X9?

from wat you mentions, you had change the steering cone 1/2 half ago.. But did you check the engine mounting, bearings, fork, any accident history?

maybe we can meet up somewhere for a drink, i can try to check for you and maybe you can try my X9. You can get me @ 9623 8875, btw, i stay seng kang.

HI bro i bought my X9 about a month plus ago. The first week i was wobbling like hell. After dat once u used to it's ok. but u half yr liao a bit long. u might wanna get ur bike checked by Kenny. anyway r u riding with ur legs 90 degrees? that might be one of the cause of the unstability. stretch out the legs to the max n try.

hope it helps.

Cheers.

Hey bro, thanks for ur advise! I juz tried riding with my leg stretched out to the max, in fact i'm using my legs to push myself against the seat. Found it more stable now. I feel more together with my bike (if u understand wad i mean). But the problem now is i can't possibily ride all the way with my leg pushing all the way out, it's tiring.. Haha.. But i'll definitely do that when i'm squeezing bet cars or cornering. Thanks bro..

Think have to get use to the weight... I 1st started riding x9 i tend to wobble around... But sometimes squeezing in between car i myself i oso tends to wobble. So what i do... I juz relax riding.. Unless really in rush... But what my mechanic told me... he told me to pump tire with more pressure... he recommend to pump about 260kpa on the front wheel n about 300kpa on the rear wheel... He told me it will make the bike feel lighter... Because low kpa will make your bike heavier + rider weight... Currently i pump front @ 240 & rear @ 280... Wonder has anyone here pump their tire @ the range i mention above?
