Hi guys, I'm new to this thread. use to ride x9 now thought of getting a new Burgman 650 anyone there know the price of the 07/08 model. Any advise to share on buying a new 650.

The '07 Burgman 650 is out since last year August. But no one got it into Singapore. Cos this bike is too ex for a 650cc. And there is no demand in a brand new one. Just imagine i got my new '06 Burgman 650 a few months ago in July. In Singapore, there should be abt 1 '05 and 1 '06 brand new 650s left.

List of things done:

1) Change of both sides brake master pump piston and flush/bleed brake fluid

2) Change of engine oil

3) Change of front fork seals and oil

Hi. Bigcow. Do you know where are the '05 and '06 burgman 650 (I presume they are the executive model?) located?

Last year I saw 1 in Looi's Motors and another 1 in AS Phoon. Now I'm not sure if they are still there, anyway, how do you tell the difference between '05 and '06 model? I can ask the salesman but I think it is better to confirm it myself.

How is ur bike so far. I heard there is some rear wheel bearing problems? What is the fuel consumption? It is rare to have people riding this bike in the forum. Tell us more.

People ask me, "Why ride bike?" I ask them back :"Why drive car?"

Update on oil again: (yes I know, I'm quite a-n-a-l about oil loss)

Last saturday did an oil change, once again using Motul 7100 10W40. One week later (today) I checked oil level. The oil was still at the top line of the oil dipstick.

I think this does it for me, from now on I will only use the same oil. Seems like this particular oil resist oil loss in the Burgman particularly well. The only alternative I may consider is the Motul 300V 10W40 if it is avaliable.

Now.... next target is exhaust and my bike will be 'complete'!

Yo mate, long time no c. y itchy to buy 650 liao ah. I think loois still have the 05 n ASP the 06 exec. Its just the color diff, nothing else. I getting ard 22-23km/l in SGP (SPC octane 95) and 15++km/l on NSH at 160+km/h. Rear wheel bearing prob belongs to the earlier batches not 05/06 model. Join us la, since u like this bike when i no u.:thumb:

good for u, but doesn't look for me. so far i have topped up 150ml n now keep getting the low oil level indicator at current mileage of 4500km since last oil change.... mayb change back Maxima 15w50 since motul a bit more xpensive.

Actually I top up the 150ml EO after a KL trip at ard 2500km mileage. It always happens after a hard trip up north n traveling at avg 140km/h. ya it is a bit jia lat lah since my ex YP400 dun need to top up oil at all...

so far only the top up EO issue at my current mileage of 25000km. I tell u it is definitely more fun than my YP400 at cornering n trunk rd. but if u not planning to go for frequent trip up north or to Thailand, not really worth to get 650. Stick to the more economical wise 400cc scoot is more prudent.
