Product Review: Keychain Camera HD808 #11

Just thought of creating this thread for those who are interested to fix an inexpensive HD camera (US$39.98 with delivery) on their bike.

 

There are many keychain cameras out there, but there is one particular one keychain camera aka HD808 #11.

 

The outer appearance from other keychain cameras looks about the same, but the quality is unmatched.

 

This is the link to which I get the keychain camera, it is a hong kong seller. The seller do have many packages with the camera, i.e with external power supply, memory card etc.

 

Here is a oversea thread which you can find many other information about this keychain camera and latest firmware. But personally I think the first version of the firmware without the fixes for exposure and saturation is the best for me.

yeah, its pretty damn good quality for a camera of its size. i'm tempted to actually get one and fit inside my helmet.

You can try doing it and show hows the effect.

You can always use software to stitch up the video.

I fixed an external power backup device for longer recording time - >4hrs.

my is not the hd one

onli 720 x 480

the light sensitivity is not very good at night

and really need to do damping if not my video is very very blur and shaky...

There are many similar keychain camera out there, just got to be careful when choosing one that is HD.

for me i use it as rear cam

so not HD is still ok

but need to settle the vibration

I guess there is just too much vibration for any bike at the rear.

Gr8 stuff i got mine with the micro sd.

Bought afew still got 2 left if anyone interested.

maybe and since the cam don't have image stabalizer built in will have to do external damping

after reducing the vibration then will look into extend recording time...

The kodak playsport zx5 is very good in low light. I will get it from oversea. Locally isn't much choice.

hahaha na, too much trouble. Just get it individually, don't really save much from MO.

Just caught this driver on video, driving out of car parking and fails to check for oncoming vehicle. He even raise his voice when I confronted him that he is very reckless, saying that he wasn't in the wrong.

hmm i always go there to pick my gf...

met a few reckless driver and taxi drivers there before also

turn out without checking for traffic at all...

horned them and they still don't care...

anyway you have video for proof...

maybe you should reply him "O~~so you are not reckless and in the wrong...ok then...let my video do the talking..."

recorded on my previous cam Aiptek Cam

did not manage to catch the driver on the cam but can see me serve to avoid the accident...

at least the taxi driver got the courtesy to say sorry to me...

Either tank or at the front of my bike. Need to customised a mount when I get it..

 

Anyway, I told the fellow I have video the incident, and he tried to bluff me that he video it too...hahaha I told him great, then can show to the police who is the wrong. What a dumb ass.

in the end decided to go back to mount on my handlebar cause the video taken when i mount on the tank got obstruction by my voltmeter and my number plate
