well...look on the other good points of this X8-4.

Maybe give you an option to install an aftermarkt RPM and Voltmeter!

storage pretty impressive too...just that like the old X8, they should cater

glove compartments in the front but well...the underseat compartments this time

is big enuff to compensate for the lack of storage infront

The X8ers Club Kick Start party was not organised by Future Scootering. It was organised by me and Fatboy71 along with X8ers Club members with the help of Piaggio Asia Pacific. Future Scootering are 1 of the sponsors

Was trying to change my X8 battery today and dropped the bolt into the hole beside the battery compartment.

Was trying to find it on the floor but wasn't sure if it's stuck inside the bike or had rolled behind the wheel of some car.

Do I need to dismantle the body to find the bolt? Will it fall into the engine compartment?

bro, don't think you can really find liao.......

wonder am i right to say that from the review, under the technical data, the average fuel consumption is 6 L/100km. that means 1 litre is covering about 16.6km...that's relatively low..

ride safe today,ride again tomorrow

wow...i like this part...and when i try it...this is the difference i felt from the Nexus.

and now, this has the same bhp as the burgman...i think this X8-4 is somewhere there liao.... Servicing interval is good too...

-----------------------------

Smoother engine

Since Piaggio already had a modern high-performance 500 cc single-cylinder engine in its range, there was no need to start from scratch to design a 400 cc.

The X8's new engine is therefore closely derived from the Master 500 unit, but the engineers paid particular attention to modifying the automatic clutch and injection mapping, in order to make its operation smoother and more flexible at low revs. With success too, since the character of the 400 is in clear contrast with the more irascible 500. Manoeuvres at slow speed are thus more pleasant, with no discernable snatching or vibration when manoeuvring on a trickle of fuel.

As for performance at high revs, it's a flattering picture since the maximum output of the X8 400 is 34 bhp, i.e. just 5 bhp less than the 500 cc unit, and exactly the same as that of the new Suzuki Burgman 400.

We should also point out that the recommended service interval for this new piece of machinery is set at 10,000 km (6,000 miles), which is remarkable for a scooter and means guaranteed savings.

ya...sadly thats same thinking there...

can it be a mistake? 16.6 is VERY low for a 400 scooter.

i think you can hit a similar figure driving a Jazz with a light left foot!

for a comparison, Burg K7 is doing 6 litres per 62 miles.

converting to km and litres, it is 6 litres per 99.79km

That is a same reading for the K7 and X8-4!

how come recently 400cc scooters are so jia-you-tang one?
