Chrislayer> Bro I got prob wit the mapping on my Zumo.. I got the maps from Rotweiler's most of the maps...I can't combine it wit my Sin-M'sia map using the mapsource or patchIMG.. I can't potentially understand these confusing forum on MSM... Dear Cikgu pls help me... :bow:

I have kept all your concerns and shall answer you as follows:-

1) i have been using Zeus 48L box all this while.. Disappointed you never notice.. Haizz... btw, I can see inside my box despite its height and no worries to put stuf inside.. Upzzz!!!

 

2) regarding the side-mirrors, I had the same fear when the new box was fixed. However, after riding from Paya Lebar(my motodiam) to Bukit Batok (my home) during peak hour on the PIE, there was no difference ar..

Suprisingly, I can still 'squeeze' thru traffic like before.. Only diff, everytime i stop at junction, the driver of the car nect to me stare at me for the longest time.. felt uneasy at first but realise later that the stare is for my new metal box.

 

3) the biggest problem i face so far is that due to the extra space to the top, things inside my box will 'jump' when i go over a road-bump.. need to put a soft-carpet base inside..Maybe something to pad inside.. i got some ideas.. need to try dem out once i can get the materials..

 

4) Speed wise, i find that turning and corners not much difference. wind resistance not factor since i change my windshield... i manage to get to 140 km/h otw home for a short burst just now.. feels good & steady but dun wan to be over-confident so just travel a short distance at the speed... will monitor and try out with caution in future..

btw, I took off my side-panniers now dat i got enuff space in my top-box. one thing though, otw hme from my motodiam, my ride much smoother with the new box.. funny ar.. the ol' box was already vibrating a lot and i can feel the drag when i ride my fatgerl.. with the new box, i dun feel the same drag and realise my front dun vibrate as much like before.. i will monitor how it goes... CU on Sunday k!..

 

 

Yancurly8>> Our bike is already huge & now with the box look even huge too (or still very shinning), that why u caught many pple attention. As compare to our 47litres...length & width not much different, i think is the height that make it look big..10cm different can make alot of different especially now u can store 2 full face helmets easily. Just put a soft matt so that u helmets, rain gear won't move around. Yup u shld try it a high speed & check out how is it. Most important, it must screw it tightly, that why i add alot of screw on it..Lastly just add the handle hook n will make ur box even cool...the handle hook can get it at gelyang area..selling locksets handle.

1 more thing - I just got my unlock codes!!! now my maps are SEARCHABLE!!!

 

 

bro, susah la nak describe how to help u...i only go and read up if i have time like now...hmm...

 

let me see ...what the experts suggest is not to merge diff. maps to one map.

 

try to create a folder called , ,, under folder, and put individual maps in respective folders....only copy and paste the maps u wanna use under Garmin folder at any 1 time...

 

btw, any errors encountered when u can't put the maps into yr GPS?

Bro, once in a while remove your seat and check the frame at the rear for cracks. My friend's ST rear frame supporting the box cracked when travelling wif a full load GIVI Maxia 52l box. Had to do welding in the end.

Hi all, it was a great day at David's place for the makan and BBQ session.

Thanks David for the meticulous and painstaking task of choosing the food and ordering it. It was really something. Esp the prawns that you put cheese in. Really nice.
