the beemer ORINGINAL guards are best .

but the price is also best !!!

 

I concluded BMW= $$$$ , it will set u abt 290 - 390 a set . Depending on the design scheme on the guards. ie carbon fibre look.

I agree with you Varas - our bike is really a beauty... actually the reason I got it is that I think it looks BRUTAL... wanted a tough, non-compromizing machine and the Vara sure is IT!

 

Guess we should have a meeting to prepare for the club and then the next one would be kind of a 'founding' meeting...?

 

Btw, nowadays I tend to go over 2nd link to gas up every Friday around 4.30 pm - just in case anyone of you care to join me one of these days.

Will see if I can make it Wednesday, will probably not know untill tomorrow, but will try. Did you guys say 8 pm?

 

I only able to make it over to M'sia to gas up once a week and try to make it on Fridays after work - when I head over at 4.30 it is just before the crowd - usually there is no jam in either direction. Usually I am over and back within an hour.

 

Btw, I have the 40L H&B boxes fitted on my bike - although have left them off the last few weeks. Great when going for touring, but must take it easy in traffic - must be patient.

 

varas> i havn't fitted the crashbar yet, havn't had the time to go down yet. Was actually planning to have a look at the sw motech one as I like the way it looks on the bike. Think the fivestar a bit more than I am willing to pay.

Varas, btw - my vara is also 2002 - no parallell import, I bot it second hand but called Boon Siew and they confirmed that it is one of "theirs".

Got the attached pic of the fivestars from a website, but can't see very well, seems pricey to me. Motoworld have a model with and without mash (for headlight protection) but did not look very good to me, also don remember the brand - not one that has been mentioned here tough I think.

Hey man, I am staying quite close to the MRT - close to the secondary school there along cck nth 7. Don rem seeing another vara around the area v often... what color is yours so I can look out for you... mine is black.

 

Not sure about the price for the H&B panniers. I bot my vara when it was about 14 mths old and the bags came with it. Think the seller told me it was ard $800 though - but he got lobang 'staff price'. I really like the pack space it gives, even though it makes the bike a bit wide. Being able to take it off is a must though - very flexible like that!

Just fuel pump and some leaky coolant issue for my case after so many kms of ride hehehee
