Finally bought a pair of these @ $480 after thinking for very very long due to the steep price. Notice to all Nolan users, got to modify the helmet to use this because of the Nolan bullshit proprietary Bluetooth socket on the helmet foam.

Cool! I've been there on another bike. The offroad ride up Brinchang was my favourite!

Got myself the older model 2 weeks back. Cheaper at $360 a pair. Still expensive to me though. But loving it so far.

Bought from Regina. Dunno some jap brand. Very good. 1.5 years still good. I never wait for exhaust to cool down to cover the bike. Heat resistant inside is good. Yet to melt. Plus the bottom is spandex type no need to pull string to tighten. About 30 bucks, with purchase of my Carberg helmet then. Otherwise sales guy said its usually 50 bucks.

Brand is 'Okado'. Did a search, Oxford covers from motoworld are almost same price, worth to check it out.

Yup I saw the oxford ones at motorworld but not sure if will melt when cover straight after riding..I recalled u saying the one u using doesn't melt that's why asked u. :D by the way the cover u using is it easy to keep?

The cover is pretty stiff when new. I usually 'roll and twirl' in into a ball and in goes the bag that came along with it. If you fold lagi flatter. after a month or two of usage it is now softer

When covering the bike make sure the outside (Silver part) doest not come into contact with exhaust area, sure melt. the inside (blacken portion) withstand heat better. Our bike comes with exhaust guard (the plastic part) so it helps a lot to avoid contact. This bike cover covers all the way down to the wheels, unlike those Yamaha honda half top type.

hi guys, just installed the mra x-creen windshield extension on friday, thanks to bro @naim for meeting me there :)

i'm still adjusting it to get the ideal position that suits me the most, but i'll do a small review of the screen here for bros who are considering it

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/jevan/2013-01-18174518_zps7743bcc5.jpg

pros:

-good wind deflection, works as expected

-able to cruise along highway at 110-120 with visor up (havent tried above that)

-able to hear my engine running clearly thanks to wind blast deflection away

cons

-bad visibility during rain if the screen is directly in your line of sight (esp if its at night!!!!)

-tend to tunnel vision, again if the screen is in your direct line of sight

verdict, i think it works for people who, like myself, feel that the original windscreen has too much wind blasting from the front. i am 175-178cm tall btw. just have to find the right position and angle which is comfortable for yourself.

bought at motoworld for $150 + $20 installation. you can DIY because in the box, they provide a sticker to paste on your windscreen to assist in marking out the holes for drilling. but you'll have to be careful when drilling the windscreen :)

hope this helps any bros out there, will update as i try out the positioning of the screen.

Been thinking about this for a few weeks, part of me tells me I should go for the Givi, as I am someone who cover my bike everywhere I go the weight of my cover may stress the hinges of the X-screen too much.

However this deflector is way cool compared to the Givi in terms of looks.

Just to check, anybody rides with high beam always on? My previous bike had really dim headlights, so I rode with high beam all the way for safety. Not sure whether I should continue the practice with Maxsym.

looks definitely the deflector look cool lar. like mini-tourer. givi looks very uncle to me. way too big eh. im actly planning to go for a smaller screen. try to make one mini windscreen DIY. if not, i might cut my stock one. i rather have some air evenly spread to my body, than the windscreen compressing all the wind and firing it straight onto my helmet. :sian:

our hi-beams are really strong. i only do it wen im lanesplitting or wen the sunlight is strong (e.g. sun rising/setting). the sun will easily overpower our lo-beams and i want the drivers to notice me in their side mirrors. if following someone (another bike), try to use low. not nice to blind the guy infront.

night totally no-no. can really blind another motorist.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

Please don't do that in the night..it may be safer for u but it danger other road users. There was once I got blinded by a bike coming from behind me and I was about to change lane. I was forced to slow down to let him pass because I can't see anything as the lights were too bright..extremely annoying..worst thing was that he was riding so slowly and I got to wait a long time for him to pass :banghead:

Yup. It's annoying to bikes an cars alike. When drivers are annoyed, they get irritated, when they get irritated, they misbehave, when they misbehave, they become aggressive, when the become aggressive they don't give a hoot about your safety.

looks nicer, for sure, but the givi does has a larger frontal area, so you'll get better protection, i personally am waiting for someone to get the givi and review it here :D

naim's idea is good, i also thought of removing it totally, but the mounting points for our windscreen dont look too good. haha!

Hi guys, just wanted to find out how you mount your iPhones on your Maxsyms.

i just ordered a ram-mount, with x-clip from gpscity awhile back. costs ard 55usd with shipping. haven't gotten it, so cant give you any reviews.
