18 grams? isn't that too much?

I thought that with 18 grams the scooter makes too much effort to accelerate..

Anyone here has 18 grams on their Maxsym?

Definitely there is in sinagpore

I was told that the malaysian maxsym even used 20 grams

They more interested in top end speed

Than pickup acceleration

Cos they have more and much more highway travelling

Hi, in Thailand the Service is very poor and the Service center not realy take care the Customer. They don´t know the Rules for Service.

I am as a Customer need to tell the team what they have to check for 20.000 KM Service. they want to change the oil only and say: Finish. Very funny.

Now i drive Kawasaki Versys 650 and happy to change from Scooter to Big Bike.

Good luck to all of you and hope you get better Service in Singapore.

It's 15 grams. At least here in Portugal.

The service manual says 18, if I'm not mistaken, but that's an error. It also says that the Maxsym uses H11 light bulbs, which is another error...(it's H1).

16gm is very similar to stock, but the pickup is slightly better with no loss in top end. im using 14gm which is perfect for local riding. very strong pickup and yet no loss in top speed, though RPM is higher most of the time, so FC will be affected. the stock 15 gm seems to be the best compromise. SYM has done a good job on this.

Personally i think i will just go for 16 grams

But dun follow me cos i m old man

I dun need good pick up

A matter of twisting more thats all

What i need is top end speed

For trip up north

And good fc

To b able to match the distance travelled

With the class 2 bikes

Other than tat

400cc maxsym is good enough pick up

For me in local riding
