My Own Rojak translation paiseh paiseh :p

Part 1 ( Wah i tired already heh heh)

Taiwan Sym want to break the tradition of maxi scooters that always belong to the Japanese and European brand.

Sym has always been known for it’s 5 points

1. reliable

2. innovative

3. people minded

4. energy

5. attractiveness

so in the Maxsym 400 you will find all these

If you see it physically, you will say that its beautiful, with the focus on comfort and power which give new concern riders on safety and freshness a new choice.

Many says that maxsym is a mix of AN400 and AN650. Audi Q5 looks kina like maxsym with the front and rear lightings. Even a normal nutty civilian will know that this is a modern bike.

Maxsym seat is a bit on the hard side but tough wearing. The cutting on the floor board makes standing very easy.

Maxsym seat is low and most rider (even new riders)will find it practical and well thought out design.

The wind shield at number 3 setting can deflect light rain, even with open face helmet there is no rain drops on the helmet.

The dash/meter seem the same as Suzuki AN series where you have to look down and look down further to actually see the meter.

During dusk, the lighting makes maxsym more noticeable thus making it safer.

Blah blah (don’t understand) about the 41mm thick front fork same as motocycle.

Top and bottom have high tensil strength, blah blah confirmed can do high speed cornering (that I understand ha ha)

On the otherside during medium slow speed scoot feel relax, because scoot feel balanced. There is no front and back separation feeling. Narrow turning is easier than T-Max 500.

Left and right handle bar lever is adjustable and are rarely seen on scooters.

Full points on the 3 disc brake systems. Just need very little brake movement is enough to handle daily riding, very good very good!

Part II

During idling, vibration is not strong. But during high acceleration rpm there is a little vibration. Of course it cannot be compared to a twin cylinder engine.

During traffic stop holding the brakes at 1/3 throttle maintaining at 3000rpm, once the lights turn green with the release of the brakes the scoot will catapult forward immediately.

Pick up is very clean unlike common CVT gear box (Superficial? I can’t understand too) Between 3000 to 5000rpm the performace is very ideal and at 5000rpm it’s already at 100km/h. Engine acceleration feeling is very positive.

But Maxsym pulling feeling from 6000rpm onwards becomes less. Turing the throttle for more will not feel as strong. ( who cares at above 5000rpm/100km/h you’ll be flying already not racing – my own words)

Maybe it’s due to the scoot being new and engine being tight, haven’t loosen up yet.

Believd that after run-in and engine oil change the performance will be even better.

Or if owner decide to change to performance exhaust, reducing the back pressure and derestricting factory spec producing smoother rear flow and it’ll be easier to go faster.

Do not despair, all you Joymax 300 rider,. Riding a Maxsym 400 don’t mean that you’ll ride faster, it’s just that bigger cc will reach the speed you want faster and the performace will be more stable and firm.

Small cc can also go fast, it all depends on the rider and concentration thus improving the overall engine performance. ( What I think the reviewer is trying to say that if you are very fierce riding a small cc you can beat maxsym, but if you are very fierce and you ride a Maxsym how? Small cc sure no chance heh he heh)

On the contrary, for the displacement to reach until 400cc Maxsym, with the same speed, the engine feels more laid back, making the rider more relax, engine lesser wear and tear and saves fuel too. ( So what, this is a low rpm maxi, or course laid back lah. 5000rmp at 100km/h and 6500rpm at 100km/h which do you prefer? Of course 5000rpm more laid back lah, can save petrol some more mah)

The End ( At last) Crap translation :p thanks

Safe bet is within range of 22-30(++) km per liter range. Anyway it really varies with ones riding style in the streets n on highway. Used to ride an X9 200 hitting 32-34km/L consistently whereas some peers on same bike get low 20s. I am not kuniang off the blocks type of rider.

lolx :D

For 400cc Maxi Scoot there are 2 catagories:

1) Twin Cylinder Type - @ 19km/l-24km/l

2) Single Cylinder Type - @ 25km/l-30km/l

At the end of the day like 2992 say, It really depend on riding style:)

Like my Silver Wing 400, if i whack i only enjoy 19km/l but if i relax2 ride i can use up to 22km/l
