mine is actually '94 Black Pearl which i bought last month right after i passed my Class 2 licence. The picture which I attached is only for reference only.

great to know that there are members owning PC800 as there are only few units in Singapore.

mind to share your experience with your PC, such as maintenance issue and/or curising up north to Malaysia?

by the way, have you ever browsed through the ipcrc from US?

cheers

enjoy riding

in fact i bought it from a New Zealander who owned it since Nov '03. He told me he bought it from an old man. not sure if the old man was the Malay chap you mentioned.

did you actually view this PC before? care to comment?

i signed up as member of the ipcrc. though it is more for USA region, but it is quite informative especially on the technical issues.

i did post some questions on it, and i got quite good response and helpful tips from the members. of course this is another way to make friends with common interest across the continents.

by the way, do you use your PC for daily commuting purposes or only for leisure touring?

cheers and enjoy riding

Hi pals.

Is PC800 still in production? Where can I buy it?

People ask me, "Why ride bike?" I ask them back :"Why drive car?"

Posted

Hi Keynes, believed you are aware that PC800 is actually meant for the US market.

Unfortunately there is no longer any production since 1998. It is considered a rare bike here. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to see a unit or two on sale in motorbike shop or from the internet auction web site.

In fact, I have the intention to dispose of mine after July, 2006.

If you are interested, you may drop me an email at "[email protected]" for more information.

regards

ted

How much your paid for your PC 800? On average.... where can i find this bike? I m riding a FZ1 now, i enjoy her power and shiftness, but she can't share my load from my heavy backpack for work........ And of cos PC 800 immediately came to my mind ( Almost bought this bike of not due to oil seal leaking in the shop, i almost traded off my old bike for that).

The new owner took possession of my Pacific Coast today.

I have been riding it for almost 6 years, starting from January 2004.

This was my daily ride.

Had pleasant memories of this bike. Amazingly, I did not travel overseas with it at all.

Had 2 oil leaks-1 from head, the other from the gear change area-both fixed.

Had 2x rectifier issues (seems like most Hondas suffer this).

Really heavy-must be very careful when parking.

Brakes were terrible at first-had to replace the front brake lines with steel-braided ones to give it adequate stopping power.

Gave it a pair of Fiamm horns for a sound befitting its size.

As there was a huge storage space for luggage, groceries, etc., were easily stowed.

Fuel consumption ranges from 16km/l to 22km/l.

Had a somewhat limited selection of rear tires due to its 16" rim.

Torque was very good as it is not a small 'V'.

All in all, a good experience.

Be sure, not slow.

Hi,

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm interested to get this bike. I read on the iPCRC site that parts are hard to get, and some parts like the axle and side covers are almost impossible to get. Could ex-owners share what the parts availability is really like in S'pore for this bike? Thanks.
