hello colleagues,

i would like to use my tom-tom gps for a ride outside of tiny - city:P.

But my bike does not have a 12v power socket.

So the battery life of my tom-tom is maybe about 2 hours-

not enough...

Does anyone of you have an idea, where to buy the popular 12V sockets to mount on the handle bar?

I have been around in several shops and repair garages in Singa, but n o t h i n g.

thx a lot!

Hi Bro warsaw,

2 ways:

1. U can buy the socket ( the one which an auto charger can be pug in) from Sim Lim Tower. It costs a few dollars each. I forgot which shop but it should be easy to buy.

You need to wire it onto the scket, then connect to battery direcly.

or

2. U can buy a multi socket (2 or 3) from any automobile assessories dept in Mall like Mustafa. The other end can be cut away, extended and connect to battery. If u do this method 2, remember to shelter it from rain. It cost a few dollars each.

I use method 1, installing 2 power points, as my bike has a glove box. I then plug into the sockets removable 2 USB adapters - then my USB cables are then plugged into the auto usb port adapters and the othe end into the 2 devices. In this way, I charge 2 out of my 3 devices - iPhone, camera, gps !

Hope my answers help u, bro
