finally...very diff to find another C1 rider.

anyway, i have sent my bike for a respray to Jet Black color.

maybe we can meet up one of these days?

or go on track together?

I am by no means hard core. just leisure riding.

and enjoy the cornering, that's all.

i 'm also thinking of taking it on a short tour.

havent gone for touring for very long...

cheers

Throttle,

If u looking for Kawa Riders, thats was 5-8 yrs back when there was a big group of Kawa riders hanging around. But now seldom c much - maybe smaller group.

Did u go for the Japan show with Evershine or just with few friends by yourself? So u only use your 9er for track purpose? What about your daily transport?

Used to ride ZX-11 but now got family n kids so have to drive lol. But i be back riding in near future. So far, IMHO Ah hai, ming tong n Michael Chong r still e best in service Kawa bike.

Hope to c n ride w u in future.

Cheers.

Hi James,

Are you referring to a group that hang out at Marina South?

Just Curious.

Yes, must agree not many Kawa lovers around..

actually i'm not the kind who likes grouping up and going out in huge masses.

just know that one another exist and exchange information is good enough.

plus a few friends riding the same bike to go on track with. would be nice. hehe heh:thumb:

Evo, do you go on track?

or touring?

Hi Throttle,

Actually I do both track & touring on my ZX9R ... and I also do dirt/track & trail and SuperMotard track on my KTM.

But since time is very limited .. i dont get to do much of it ... I am like jack of all trade but master of none ... so I must say my skill is the same of a newbie .... for all the above ...

Hope to join you for your PG track sessions.... need more more track kakis ....

I am currently riding the ZX9R model similar to that is on sale .... so my humble advice to those buying this model would be .... you might need to overhaul the engine ....

engine a bit rough ... but power is very raw ...

good enough for daily transport / tour ...

good fuel consumption provided you dont whack above 5K rpm ... usually cruising at 3.5K @ 100 km/hr ...

heavier than newer bikes but still manageable ....

nimble enough to squeeze through traffic jams with a pillion behind ....

still got the looks despite its age ....

for the ZX7R (used to own one similar to that on sale)

engine a bit rough ... but the power is damn extremely raw ... this bike hate to be ridden slow .... you either go fast or you stop ...

not for daily transport/ tour ... u will have backache, headache, wrist pain unless you ride fast to reach your destination

fuel consumption is higher to that of ZX9R ... but I could not confirm is it becos the bike has higher consumption by default or becos you just have to whack the bike ....

extremely heavy ... unless you are a bodybuilder

takes a lot of guts/strength/skills to squeeze through traffic jams with a pillion (screamining & crying) behind ...

looks retro ...

Summary

Unless you want to be like the majority ... ride a Kawa .... :thumb:

very true, pre 98 kawas are very rough. engine like a caged wild animal.

but latest kawas are all very smooth already although not as quiet as hondas and yamahas.

i like kawa for its solid designs and also becos not so common on the roads.

Hi James ... the Z1 is meant to be an eye catcher with its Pumpkin Orange Colour ... even the Kawasaki Racing Green is an eye catcher colour ... and how old are you anyway? 70 ? :D

Hope to see you on track day .... :thumb:

You can read my earlier post about the Ninja series

basically more value for money if you buy the B series Niner than the ZX7R.
