I hope i am posting in the right thread.. anyway, what are those two tubes on the kawa zx-400? It connects from the head fairing all the way to the tank..

The two tubes are cool air intake for your both your Airbox and Engine.

Air is directed from the from thru the pipes into the airbox mouth. and cool air is being pass to the engine top down to help cool the engine. You may ask why cool air can't come from the front. The reason is the Gigantic radiator is there and cool air passes thru that will confirm become hot air.

2 cents worth. Enjoy

those are for you to bring home in case ur washing machine hose broke....

no la, it's actually an air duct to guide the air into ur airbox... but really not very useful. i used to have L-2 and L-8, had the air duct removed and still runs well.

I agree with you abit but not totally.

If you can really see the air flow of the bike in a air tunnel. There will be a slight voltex in in between you and the tank. This in turn suck out air more then getting the air in. Yes is of little effect but when you have cool air in front of you. hehehe.

bit more toruqe.

Oh somthing to plus. i removed the top cover of the intake so cool air can be blown in stead of sucked in.

and i don't really like to ride class 2 kips or sp. sorry maybe this might offend some ppl out there.

I like it because it gives me confidence, it'll let me challenge myself....

everytime iI ride on it, and discovers the wind is in front of me, I throttle, it'll let me race with the wind.......

I lay low, to reduce wind drag, keep racing forward.....

in the end I won against the wind.....

RVF is always faster on the pickup on the 1st few sec, but once the ninja spins pass 8000rpm the RVF loses steam... this is just my personal observation when i got engaged on the street, haha... i'm always thinking perhaps my clutch technique is inadequate, that's why i keep losing out in front? luckily the power would always come from behind to save me....

zx4 cranks out 65 horsepower while rvf cranks out 59.cbr only 54. in fact zx 4 has the highest horsepower amongst the 400cc sports bike stock to stock. pick up wise u need real good clutch control to stay with rvf, but once u get into the power band u can cream them anytime.

only 15 models came into spore. 2 were used to race on track while the rest crashed or exported. i would say only a handful are left, it'll be a rare find. but you will need full sugaya kit to bring the bike to it's full 85 horse. and it's restricted to 190kmh, once u reach that speed u'll see it drop and then come up again.
