hi all kawa bros out there,

got a noob questions on kawasaki bike. recently met a couple of frens wif zx-10 and fell in luv with the ninjas!

i currently onli have class 2a, but aiming for a zx-6 eventually. so, i need to go for my class 2 lessons, which i hope to do very soon. been watching some overseas bike reviews on u-tube and also talking about it with frens. some of the questions i have are following:

1. is the 400cc ninja discontinued? or is there 1 at all? i saw the zx-250 at the bike show but i am not keen on it.

2. a fren told me servicing the kawa is a pain in singapore. main dealer has poor service record and 3 month warranty offered in not attractive. is it true?

3. if i am looking for a 1year old zx-6, what kind of price range is worth considering?

4. any other pointers that all kawa bros can give that can help me as i go into the buying process of the kawa?

currently, i drive mainly and ride a scooter for recreation. i plan to give up driving temporary wthin the next 3 months or so.

Same here for me too, Im looking to buy a ZX6 07-08 but i would also like to know is there any recall issues or some manufacturer faults like Honda cbr 1000 coil issue, Yamaha TPS, Suzuki FI error for the ZX6 R 07 -08

Kawasaki produce very powerful bike & TAT IS THE FACT...

but alas traction control & etc control nt as gd as the other jap bikes....

 

for Q1; YES there is zx400r & it has been discountined for quite a while....

curremtly mostly are up for coe renewal or renewed....

& YES zx250 is coming in or in already ....?

hmm...

 

for Q2 it nt reari tat pain but it best u keep a spare bike.....

spare part waiting can b a pain esp if main agent in spore dun have...

try tis ever tried b4 waiting for OIL FILTER for ard 2 mths due to F*** up inventory by evershine....

there are many riders tat had bad brushes wif evereshine.

ask around & u noe...

well there always ebay or try Kawasaki motor in Msia (Prev known as Sunrock)

located in sham alam (prev in K.L)

or sumtimes compatabile items may help ie: u nid nt get org clutch basket or clutch plates u can get from muzzy or barnett.

OR ask the ppl here many here gt many lobangs....

Evershine deals in brand new bike. they dun do loans .it hitachi credit tat do it. agent warranty is kinda sucky ....

so LL .bite the bullet .(typical evershine)

try LOOI or DILI TRADING(2nd hand)

 

for Q3 as mentioned try Dili Trading. gt kawa bikes (used) every now & then

price range diff to comment...

i went around ubi today to just browse around. haven't read you reply yet, so kinda doing it in the dark. kawa is really hard to find but saw the yamaha r6 there. gotta say it's fierce as well. i will check out the few places you recommended next week.

 

your answer on the parts availability is kinda scary.

 

i will see how it goes. my c2 lesson starts this monday. hopefully it will not be too long b4 i nab the license. then i will see if the heart or head rules. my heart says kawa....and head says whatever....
