anyway need to improve the looks a bit ... mine is an old horse ... cannot run nevermind but must look good ... hehehehe ....

halo ninja folks,

 

i just changed fork oil n seal becoz left n right both major leaking.now within a mth one side minor leaking.i need an advice.change new fork or do fork oil n seal change again?anyone?

 

my rear absorber is soft now.can it be serviced?

 

my disc brake warp oso.means will produce a pulsating effect. like for the same pressure applied, it will brake more, then less, then more. when the pad comes into contact with the wrap part, the braking effect changes till the disc rotate to the normal part.how now?

 

FULLY Synthetic or SEMI Synthetic? wats the diff? i plan to change semi for every 6mths. will have any side effect? spark plugs change every 6mths. any advice?

 

anyone know wer go get 2nd hand fork n brake disc for ZX9R? kawa agent wer is it?

 

i love my ninja but too bad is an inverted fork. any idea on how to modify to non-inverted?

Leaking front fork ....

Go back to the shop that did it for you and ask them to do for FOC. Possible cause, deep scratch on the fork tube, incorrect seal size or poor workmanship. Inverted fork looks cool ... conversion to conventional .... not too sure ...

 

Soft rear shock ....

Not to sure, please ask Guinness ...

 

Warp brake disc ....

If the warping is minor, machining is possible. If machining is not possible purchase of aftermarket disc is recommended, original cost more ... 2nd hand is risky ...

 

Engine Oil ...

Semi-Synthetic is good enuf for normal everyday riding while sticking to the turtle speed limit of Spore however should you ride like the "DEVIL" or bring the bike to track once in a while .... it is advisable to use a Fully Synthetic engine oil .... actually the mileage is a good indicator of the oil change ...but at the time of typing i dont have the "Haynes Guide for Ninja Dummies" by my side ... so i cant comment ... but six months should be okay ... i know of people who service once a year but usually its a complete service from A to Z ...

about 1 year or 10,000 km ...

i kinda wish to join this Ninja ZXR thing, but my ZX9R disappoint me so much that i considering to switch to Honda CBRs.

 

unless i got my leakage n braking probs settled, den i will carry on riding this horse. if not, i got to switch.

 

spare parts are hard to locate n original parts are so expensive. Ninja bikes are owned by rich riders, i tink.

bot the new 2.4l Volvo S40 , delivery however in May becos i'm the only nutcase in singapore that order it with sunroof!! this is my first 4 dr car and i still want it to be sporty looking so i ordered with sunroof.

 

today i didnt go track becos i'm selling my BMW to exporter.

 

so sad.

 

anyway, i'm glad that our thread has built up pretty well over the few months.

 

hope to organise one chit chat session at the mitre hotel soon.

 

 

anyone please feel free to take the lead, there are no leaders here, only friends who share expereinces. cheers

how long have been riding the Ninja ... did you buy the one sold at the yahoo auction at the price SGD1600???

 

dont give up on the Ninja ... life has many of its sh*tty times ....

 

who says that the CBR that you gonna get is not as sh*tty as the Ninja that you currently own ....

 

Ninja is not for the rich and famous ... I bought it because I like Ninja and of cos its cheap and have screwed up resale value ....

 

All sportsbikes are high maintenance and high cost horses ....

 

Take it slow ... repair one at a time in order of priority ....

mine already 5 years old bike by condition superb leh...

i dont think it;s kawa, kawasakis are very hardy bikes

 

if fork leak than most certainly oil seal torn or didnt fit properly.

 

rear sus can be adjusted to a higher compression so will be harder but dont expect ohlins penske type performance on stock sus.

 

brake rotors warped, time to change to new "flower" discs!!! very chio.

about $900 a pair (for the front)

 

i go fully synthetic becos i ride hard and fast. the protection and better.

i service every 5000km becos kiasu.

i was looking for the 3 series BMW but cant find one i really like so in the end i bot the latest, boxer look, Volvo S40 which is the newest sporty design from Volvo unlike all the rest of other versions. you can see a picture of it on last weekends newspapers. they just launched it. first shipment is coming in End Mar i think.

 

but becos i ordered with sunroof, i have to wait til May...
