how long have been riding the Ninja ... did you buy the one sold at the yahoo auction at the price SGD1600???

dont give up on the Ninja ... life has many of its sh*tty times ....

who says that the CBR that you gonna get is not as sh*tty as the Ninja that you currently own ....

Ninja is not for the rich and famous ... I bought it because I like Ninja and of cos its cheap and have screwed up resale value ....

All sportsbikes are high maintenance and high cost horses ....

Take it slow ... repair one at a time in order of priority ....

dear kawa buddy ...

you are not alone ... here is my side of the story ... bought a ZX9R from an fat Indian fella ... claims that he has overhaul the engine ... new timing chain, new water pump and some other sh*t ... bought it without a second thought becos I have wanting the ZX9R since 1995 ... second day(no of times ridden 2) of riding kena saman for speeding at 100km/hr at 70km/hr road at Mandai ... *&^%$#@!@$%^&&

two weeks later ...(no 5 time ride) ... overheat until cannot overheat ... after much *^&&%$#@@!@#$%^&()*&^%$# have to buy a complete recond engine to replace the faulty cylinder head ... cost 2.5K ++

one month later (no 10 time ride) same ()*&^#@#$%^&* overheating problem have to spend another 1k ++ to replace the faulty cylinder liners O-rings ...

the workshop is my Ninja second home ... now going thru some minor make up job ...

I have to disagree about the Ninja being killed by the others ... if you wanna pass the others .. first you must overcome your own fear ...

Should you want to scrap that piece of junk ... please PM me ... another man's junk is another man's treasure ...

cleaning of exhaust valves ....

long long time ago ... man invented high performance engines .... then they create laws .... fast forward ... high performance engines are designed to run at high rpm ... however due to the strict speed limit law and the nature of sunnypore traffic ... which consist of stop ... wheelie ...stop wheelie kind of road condition ... it causes carbon build up at the exhaust ports due to incomplete combustion ... and due to the fact that the B2 model was manufactured in 1995 the EFI technology for motorcycle was still in the experimental phases .. the B2 uses a carburettor ... and after a long time the carbon build up will cause a lag in throttle response and so on ... so for the sake of the health of the machine ... the rider is encouraged to bring the bike to its limit once in a while ... or at least the riders limit for that matter of fact ...

I hope the above explains it ....

high mounted exhuast is used to allow more clearance when taking corners.

as used in most GP bikes.

Yogeiki, it doesnt matter if CBR or R1 passes you.

I let them pass me if they want to...but i pass them when i want to as well.

Kitten or tiger - it's an atititude.

"The meek shall rule the earth" lest you do not know.

overinflated egos get ppl into trouble 100% of the time.

i respect all the bikes for they serve their mechanical purpose.

but the rider is the one that breathes life and character to the bike.

a nice bike ridden by a lousy fella - thumbs down/sian

a mediocre bike ridden by a nice fella - thumbs up/hi five

Reminds me of something.

When you get overtaken by a better bike, it's always bike's fault.

When you overtakes a bigger cc bike, your're obviously God.

so "cleaning of exhaust valves" means full throttle?

hit the bike's limit n let out all the carbon in the carbs?

tot is to open up the engine block, take out the valves n clean.

juz like my previous stupid aprilia.

so troublesome of aprilia RS125.

haha.

got one nite i full throttle n hit 200km/h n still havent hit redline.

is this kinda a minor cleaning of the exhaust valves?

haha those 2 turbo-charged vehicles so proud on cte onli struggling up to 180km/h.

n din wish to let me pass.

i hate driver so show off den dun let ppl pass wen dey cant keep up.

so driver dun look down on riders n give us trouble.

me myself holding class 3 n no big deal.

hope drivers can give way to us. thnx u.

lucky tat nite no TP.

hope i wont do that again.
