yeah sixers are lighter and quicker to manouver round PG compared to a heavy old horse like my niner. just like a BMW 330ci versus a 545i

but if i ever get another bike, i'll probably choose the Ten.

hi, for the front cowling (sai tao) u can get new one from kawa dealer. as for 2nd hand ones, its rather difficult... unless its those scrape ones... are there anyway to salvage your front cowling? try to mend it if its not too badly damaged.

as for the meter, really dunno where got sell. can try dealer? but will be very ex. same as the front cowling..

feel free to ask for help. i will try to help within my capabilities..

thanx alot WinEd. but my whole sai tao gone sia. cant be found. as for the meter, they say can fix ZX7 meter but need some modification. haiz..

yo FPESIGD,

if i were you, i'll take the opportunity to turn it into a naked street bike.

very chio and fierce to see a zx4r naked.....

or dont get original factory fairing, instead get a fibreglass race fairing. cost about $600 to 700. cut 2 holes and fit the head lights. up to your imagination.

Another way is to use other makes (suzuki / honda) cowlings but it will require some modiifications here and there .... but the result could be damn good ... we have Ninja rider which makes his ZX7R L model looks like a P model ... using some NSR150 and the original Kawa cowlings ... or something like that ... he did it at First Motor and I must say the worksmanship looks alright to me .... whereas mine ... I did at Second Motor and the result is fark up .... :faint:

Reminder : Doing the plastics for your bike is like going to a plastic surgeon ... what ever it is .... he needs to be a good one .... dont end up like me ... ask for a nose job and I get a bl*wjob ... :faint:

i oso thought of moulding the front cowling but wat i heard is they nd another front cowling as a sample. haiz.. in fact i not so scared abt my front cowling. i'm more into my meter. my bikeshop now waiting to buy in ZXR400 so he can transfer the needed parts to my bike. but his budget is only 2.2k.:weep: i went southern today and asked, they offer me 2.6k any1 noe where got cheaper deal?

if you are claiming, then just buy original.

how can your bike shop not be able to find you the parts?

Unless your bikeshop is a thief!!!!!! i think they are trying to use second hand parts and then claim for first hand price. becos of people like these, causing us to pay higher and higher premiums...

Ask your bike shop to get brand new and claim accordingly. which shop is that by the way????

no cuz my case is still fighting. is a sure win case but the prob is win by how much? my shop say if i win only by 50%, i needa pay the remaining. so no point getting new 1 1st.(dunno how true is dat) btw dat shop is Glen Enterprise. juz opp MAH motor.

Actually , I've never heard of winning 50% or 80% or 100%.

if it is his fault and you got into an accident and damaged your bike then claim 100% on that bugger. fight to the end.

was it any fault of yours?

if it wasnt , hope you win 100% then you can have a "new" bike.

Look forward to the next Ninja track day with more folks from this thread attending.

i think what he meant was,

how much each party is liable to claim the other party..

it happens most of the times, when both side claim to be right or wrong.

so the insurance will decide the laibility of the claim by "both are wrong/right"

considering other factors like wet road / heavy traffic etc..

Hope you claim on that careless bugger then fix all the racing parts.

Green Track Day!

Friggin Taxis again.

I can totally sympathise with you because last time taxi kissed my nearly brand new Honda .....when i was $@#!$#$ stationary at a traffic light!!!!!.

Good to hear that you and yr missus are alright. SUE the BUGGER! As long as there is injury you can report directly to TP. They will take action. If the injuries do not warrant immediate action, get all the details, best if u have pics too. submit to : CO TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS UNIT, 10 Ubi Avenue 3, Singapore 408865.

They will take it from there, including getting in touch with the taxi company.

Hope u get some justice.

Just last month i was nearly run over by taxi doing illegal turn.

I'm glad you're both ok...

On the positive side at least it means your bike gets a nice makeover before you sell it, and the $1500 dent in the taxi driver's bank balance (the excess on their insurance) might remind him to check his blind spot next time. F*ckwit...

Enjoy your honeymoon mate!
