Dishonest Bike shop at AMK Ave 10

My friend's son sent one of their bike to a workshop in AMK Ave 10 for checking on some sound on the bike.

The workshop quoted a total bill of about $500. Finding it expensive, he decided not to repair.

The workshop insist to charged $60 for checking, claiming that $20 was for replacing a screw and $40 for the checks.

In fact, there wasn't any screw replacement till they question.

My friend rushed there & they were not allowed to leave with the bike without paying.

My friend offered $30 but was rejected.

Police were there mainly just to ensure no commotion.

Eventually, my friend paid the $60, reluctantly.

 

I think the shop initial is W.Y.

 

Anyone had any bad experience with this shop?

My friend threaten to go small claim court, then they insist my friend sign an indemnity that they did not force him to pay the $60. My friend refuse to sign.

I saw the receipt, they list down a whole list of items, but obviously was trying to cover their ass.

Will try to get the reciept & post here.

We must not tolerate unreasonable mechanics that try to ripped our hard earned money, must post & warn fellow bike owners here.

If i am ur friend i will not pay and call the police, let the police knows wad happened after that u can leave ur contact behind and ask the shop to justify which item was changed ,if not accepted ask them to send u a lawyer letter lo
