Anyone knows how to prevent exhaust header from rusting? I have a spark 135 with gpr pipe. The header is aluminum and i wonder if it will rust in time. Anyone have any idea ?

Aluminum is used for muffler, and i have never come across aluminum for header.

Like everyone has said, if it rusts, it cannot be aluminum

Someone in the forum is doing this exhaust heat wrap. Forgot his nick. Alternatively, u might wanna try n install an extender on the front mudguard. At least it could steer dirt off from reaching the headers.

exhaust wrap will not prevent rust, it just covers.. infact, nothing can prevent rust, just polish to clean it.

I never tried exhaust wrap but I tot it's quite simple to diy - get 2 hose clip, buy wrap from ebay, dampen wrap with water and start wrapping.

Another alternative is powder coat or something.

OR might as well buy got custom make a new header.

Whatever you go, please don't diy spray with high-temp or normal black spray - it will eat into you original paint and leaving it bare.
